Today I paid property taxes to Wake County on the computers and the fixtures inside of my store that are required to operate my business - Play-It-Again Sports Holly Springs.

We paid sales tax on these items when we bought them, then we have to pay property tax on them every year because we own them.

Small business owners like me think that’s ridiculous.

Time to reform property tax in NC. Property taxes are out of control. I’m leading the charge.

My opponent Winn Decker, who has never paid property taxes in his life, and has no clue about owning a small business, called for keeping property taxes high in his dissertation. He doesn’t get it.

🚨New York Democrats already ran off a million residents. Now they are trying to run off the Amish too!!!

About 25,000 Amish still live in New York. Their one-room schools do not take state money. Albany still treats them like a public-health crime scene.

Three plaintiff schools, Shady Lane in Clymer, Pleasant View in Heuvelton, and Dygert Road near Canajoharie, have been hit with $118,000 in Health Department fines for refusing 24 to 27 required shots that their faith forbids.

Every Amish school in the state is in the same vise. The religious exemption d*ed in 2019 under Cuomo after a measles outbreak in other communities. Medical exemptions stayed. Faith did not.

Miller v. McDonald already went to the Supreme Court once. The justices sent it back. The Democrat-heavy Second Circuit doubled down on June 30 and called the claim without merit.

Lawyers say a new petition goes up next month. Wisconsin v. Yoder said the Amish way of life is not a hobby the state can sand down. Albany did not get the memo.

This is the same New York that lost more than a million people to other states since 2020, the worst proportional decline of any state. Net domestic outflow in 2024-25 was about 137,000. Tax filers have left for a decade.

They go to Florida and Texas because taxes, crime, and lectures got too expensive. Families who grow their own food, educate their own kids, and ask almost nothing of the welfare state are next on the list.

If you cannot leave the quietest Christians in America alone, you do not believe in religious liberty. You believe in compliance. Stand with the Amish. Let them live.

RFK Jr. is calling out Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro after the governor announced two reported measles deaths in Lancaster County deaths. Kennedy says the county coroner has NO record of them.

“The announcement appears to have been premature, and the deaths may even have been altogether fabricated,” Kennedy said, noting that state law requires measles deaths to be reported to the coroner.

Kennedy accused Shapiro of reviving the same tactics used during COVID: “fearmongering, misinformation, finger-pointing, and the weaponization of infectious disease fears for political gain.”

He also criticized the media for rushing to amplify the governor’s claims without first verifying the facts.

“Governor Shapiro got his headlines,” Kennedy said. “He correctly gambled that the slavish mainstream media would dutifully amplify his scolding without any effort to check his facts.”

A black man punched a white Raleigh restaurant manager to de*th and walked with a 3-to-5-year slap on the wrist after nearly three years free on bond.

Three years ago today, David Millette Jr., 27, left Midwood Smokehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a night out with his sister Katey. They were walking home on Glenwood South around 2 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2023. He had just learned he would be a father. His son Sonny was still on the way.

Prosecutors say a group boxed them in. Katey stepped in front of her brother. Tyrell Jarue Moore, then 23, jumped the group and punched David in the face while he was not looking. The blow shattered his nose and sinuses. He hit the sidewalk. He d*ed six days later, on Sept. 1.

Moore, a black man from the area, was charged with first-degree m*rder, then indicted on second-degree m*rder.

Police said he posted about the punch on Facebook and fled when they tried to arrest him. He also picked up a marijuana count. He sat out most of the case on bond.

Last June, Wake County Judge Brian Wilks sentenced him to three years and two months to four years and 10 months after a plea to voluntary mansl*ughter. Credit for 259 days in jail. The fleeing and drug charges were dismissed.

District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said she was not confident a jury would convict on m*rder and feared they might drop it to involuntary manslaughter.

Katey Millette called it a “gross inadequacy.” Their father said, “It’s very disappointing that we ended up where we did, frankly.” Moore did not speak in court.

A white father-to-be is gone. A black suspect who threw the punch that k*lled him is looking at a handful of years and already spent most of the wait at home. That is the sentence North Carolina handed this case.

Ask why a sucker punch that ends a life is treated like a bar fight with extra paperwork.

Measles questions.

Let’s be clear- when the Governor comes into our county and holds a press conference with PA Department of Health and Penn Medicine Lancaster general Health and states there were two “measles-associated deaths” here, with the underlying assertion that the two people died FROM measles, and they are the first deaths from measles in 35 years, and that announcement sets off numerous media reports uncritically repeating that two people died FROM measles in Lancaster County, and Lancaster County elected officials then get questions about this – it is totally fair for me to ask for relevant information on those deaths.

Asking questions is not “pro-measles.”

Asking for information that should have been provided at the press conference is not “anti-science.”

It is simply wanting the whole story for my constituents.

When officials who hold a big press conference and make big headlines – those officials owe us more than the headlines. They owe us the whole truth. They owe us accurate information by which the people of Lancaster County can make decisions about their health and safety.

It has been about 24 hours since the press conference. We do not have any answers. Of course journalists should also be asking these questions rather than uncritically repeating something.

Any deaths from measles are required by law to be reported to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. I have spoken at length with both a senior staff member from that office and the Coroner himself. They currently have zero measles deaths in Lancaster County. They have one death of a person who died WITH measles, but not from measles. We do not know if the state is counting that one. Nor do we know anything about the other death that officials reported yesterday.

Is there an unlikely scenario where a patient from here got measles and sought care outside of Lancaster County and died there and it was reported to another county coroner? Yes. I am open to that or other unlikely possibilities. But if one of these unlikely scenarios is the case, the people holding the press conference had, and currently have, a responsibility to provide that information.

The law DOES allow release of more information. Demographic information that does not identify the patient may be released.

I reached out to Penn Medicine LGH. No response.

I reached out the Governor’s office. No response.

I talked with our Lancaster County Department of Public Safety Director. He has no additional information from the state.

I asked questions this morning at our Board of Commissioners meeting of Commissioner Alice Yoder who was at the press conference yesterday and is a former official at Penn Medicine LGH. She did not have any answers. (This exchange is on video and will be available later today.)

So as of right now, we have ZERO information that corroborates the idea that there were two measles deaths in Lancaster County. Again, everything stated could be accurate. But no one in authority has been able to say that, nor have they even tried to say it.

To me it is a big deal if the Governor comes in and gives a press conference and then no one can or will identify simple details around what was stated and what then generated major news stories.

Transparency is owed to the people.

It is incumbent on those who held the press conference to clear this up.

A recap before the verdict.

Clancy never told 7 different doctors that she was seeing 6 others. Did not tell them she had other scripts.
Just kept collecting them.
Never told them of any symptoms that could warrant a ppp diagnosis. Never had signs of psychosis.
Was never diagnosed with psychosis.

She was non-compliant with the meds they did tell her to take, however. She did not take them.
Seroquel was discontinued in early January. But she sure took it before she jumped 13 feet to the ground, likely so it would be in her system for her devised defense.

She only mentioned a command hallucination after asking for an attorney, from her bed after the murders.

Clancy was wealthy. Had a very close and supportive network. Parents offered to take kids and she refused. Had a nanny, daycare, work from home husband and funds for any medical. She ignored many treatment program recommendations.

No system failed her.
She premeditated murder, clearly, and went through with all three murders.
Looked up how long it would take to send husband on two errands, including takeout farther away that they didn't order from. I don't need to recap the gruesome murders.
She spoke to her husband on the phone coherently. Didn't tell him to get home fast or send help. Just continued murdering.

Then she didn't want to die herself, clearly, so the cuts were very superficial. You do not need to be a nurse to know these cuts were not a suicide attempt. I don't think she intended to paralyze herself. It was only a 13 feet distance.

Since then she has had no command hallucinations. She wants you to believe she obeyed the first one she ever had readily on that fateful day.
That has never happened in the history of ppp.
One command.
Obeyed immediately.
No more.

Her defense is filled with inconsistencies and holes.
Completely unbelievable.
Her made up story.
No real defense. Nothing but her own claim of a command, told after the murders. But they want you to believe that. Defense is merely a few words from a murderer after the murder. Not from a single provider she saw. Not supported by a shred of evidence.

Jury needs to do the right thing and incarcerate her for life. Otherwise she will be out sooner than any murderer has a right.

The only victims are her poor husband and these angels whose lives she violently ended.
