@jnoisecat Would you say the same thing to the women who spoke out about Swalwell’s behavior? Also, I guess I didn’t realize verbal abuse, hateful rhetoric, and the highest staff turn over in Congress was “non-scandalous”
@MJRosenspire Also implying people know what they are getting themselves into is such a wildly privileged thing to say. People come from all different backgrounds, and I’d say most people never expect verbal or physical abuse - I certainly didn’t.
@MJRosenspire I never once implied that members are saints, nor would I even raise the bar high enough to claim they must be nice people. These situations don’t go from 0 to rape. Abuse of power starts with small things and works its way up to abuse or crimes.

@MJRosenspire Oh there we go, I’m all for this argument. But unfortunately there is no HR on the hill, and the ethics committee is a Kangaroo court. 🤷🏼♀️ so I guess we just have to sit around and wait for someone to get raped before we say something.
