Dowry didn’t die.
It just changed its name -gifts.status.expectations. And it’s still killing our daughters!
Another woman dead. Another silence forced. Another family told to adjust.
This is not culture. This is violence we keep normalising.

This isn’t just a crime
It is a collapse of Systems/Accountability/Everyday safety that women are still forced to negotiate with fear.
We refuse 2 let this bcome just another headline that fades.
NO woman should have to calculate her survival just to move through her own city
There are moments that shake U.
And then there are moments that make you ask..how many more?
Another woman. Another bus. Another city that promises safety, yet fails its daughters in the most basic way.
We remember. We protest. We demand justice.
And yet, here we are again.

Another brutal reminder that across South Asia, the safety of girls and women remains painfully fragile.
A society is judged by how it protects its most vulnerable…and we are failing that test far too often.
In a shocking incident, a 6-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Hyderabad's Narsingi on Sunday, March 15. The accused was arrested.
The accused lured the girl by promising to buy chocolates for her. When she did not return home, her parents approached the Narsingi police and filed a complaint at 10:00 PM. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and the police team launched a search operation for the minor girl.

We r 5 yrs away 4m 2030. #SDG deadline isn’t just a date—it’s a test!
At #POWER, we asked:What if gender advocacy didn’t wait until adulthood? What if we started where patriarchy starts-among boys?
That’s how #WeMenCampaign, a national gender training initiative was born.
Here’s our sixth: invest in early mindset change. Don’t just teach boys what not to do—show them who they can choose to be.
These young boys holding placards don’t just represent a campaign. They represent new social contract.
Let’s raise boys who don’t need to unlearn injustice
Focused on reshaping values, empathy, and equality among schoolboys. What we’ve seen over the years has been transformative—boys becoming allies, schools becoming safer, and communities beginning to shift.
This year at #HLPF, UN Women has laid out 5 actions to accelerate #SDG5.
This is what listening looks like.
In villages across India, we sat with women — not to speak for them, but to hear them.
Pain, strength, silence, and stories — all had space.

“Where were we? Why the pause?
Since 2020, we took time to regroup, reflect, & reimagine.
Silence was strategic.
Comeback is purposeful.”
Now, we return with a louder, clearer purpose: to amplify voices that must be heard— Shamina Shafiq, Founder, PF
