This is a failure of “fairness” rather than equity or justice. We give the same class of accommodation to everyone because different ones would be unfair. Which defeats the WHOLE PURPOSE of accommodations.

@KatAMacfarlane There is so much bad here. But one that really peeves me are the non-accommodating accommodations. I get so many students who are comfortable revealing their disability to me only to learn that their accommodation is totally irrelevant/unhelpful/harmful to their disability.

@Dr_S_Jefferson I recently witnessed the aftermath of an eviction in my neighborhood. It was truly heartbreaking - most of the stuff on the curb was kids/baby stuff. Is there anything I can do in that moment? The people were not there, only their stuff, and I didn’t know them.
