@mdhardeman @matthew_d_green Utimaco’s GP HSM sim is transparent to the app (the app doesn’t know it is a sim). For development use/QA/test/PoC work, NOT licensed for use in prod environments. For one-pin-per-key, PKCS11 API, limit would be 10k keys. Fail count locks pin, does not destroy key.

@daniel_bilar Yes, we started by getting Picnic running in the @Utimaco HSM simulator, then ported the code to the CryptoServer itself. Our HSM firmware is also available on our Picnic github site, and there are more details on this experiment in our NIST Picnic submission.
