Today, @ICRC has given a new meaning to the word cowardice.

For almost 500 days, the Red Cross abandoned Israeli hostages—no visits, no proof of life, no medical aid. Nothing.
But now, they finally break their silence.
To do what? To call on “both sides” to ensure ‘dignified hostage releases.’

Both sides?!?!? Hamas—a terrorist organization—kidnaps babies, mothers, and civilians, chains them to the ground, starves them, rapes, tortures, and parades them in a humiliating manner.

@ICRC, shame on you for putting Israel and Hamas on equal footing.

The Red Cross, impotent and morally bankrupt, is in desperate need of reforms to bring this organization back to what it once stood for.
The sooner, the better.

El dólar ha vuelto a superar los 75 bolívares en el cambio libre.
Es la cuarta vez que ocurre en nuestra historia reciente.

1. Octubre de 1992: 76.80 Bolívares por dólar.

Vino la reconversión de 2008. Le quitaron tres ceros al Bolívar Bs de toda la vida. Nació el bolívar fuerte, que no dejó de devaluarse.

2. Enero de 2014: 79,8 Bolívares fuertes por dólar.

Hacen la reconversión de 2018 por la hiperinflación, hijo de la crisis por diseño. Le quitaron cinco ceros al BsF. Nació el bolívar soberano, que no dejó de devaluarse y solo existió tres años.

3. Noviembre de 2018: ya de golpe 151 Bolívares soberanos por dólar. La híper dio un salto que triplicó el tipo de cambio ese mes.

Reconversión de 2021. Le quitaron seis ceros al Bolívar Soberano (VES), se crea el Bolívar digital para llevar el dólar a un artifical "4,30 bolívares por dólar", que igual no deja de devaluarse.

4. Febrero de 2025: promedio de 75,6 bolívares digitales por dólar en las casas de cambio que trabajan con tasas paralelas.

La opinión pública se puede resistir unos días, pero igual el tipo de cambio no ha dejado de subir en la tasa oficial y paralela. La receta no ha cambiado mucho y los responsables son más o menos los mismos.
