Only a few days to go until we gather for the Cateran Yomp for another incredible weekend of trekking, fundraising and, of course, great food.
Ask any returning Yomper and they’ll tell you the food on route is always a highlight. And with Chef Robert Irvine stepping in as Executive Chef this year, it’s set to be even better. Exciting new additions will help keep everyone fuelled along the way, including Rigatoni Bolognese...and that’s just the beginning.
We’re delighted to welcome @RobertIrvine and the @rirvinefound back to Blairgowrie for our annual 54-mile challenge in support of soldiers, veterans and their families. If you spot them on the course, be sure to say hello!

In just one week, more than 100 veterans will travel to Scotland together to take on the Cateran YOMP alongside military allies from around the world with the Army Benevolent Fund @ArmyBenFund
For months, this group has trained, prepared, and connected from afar, sharing stories, goals, challenges, and encouragement before all meeting in person. Next week, they will board an @AmericanAir flight together for the first time.
Veterans from every branch of the U.S. military will take on 54 miles through the Scottish Highlands, pushing through difficult terrain alongside people who understand the physical and mental challenges that can follow military service.
For many, this experience becomes more than an endurance event. It becomes connection, accountability, camaraderie, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Because sometimes healing begins by walking beside people who understand your journey.

"Tonight is about camaraderie, dancing, and laughing with my fellow veterans.”
That spirit filled the room during the Havana Nights themed Breaking Bread with Heroes gathering at American Legion Post 200 in Lake Elsinore, California.
Chef Juan Ramirez of El Jefe Latin Kitchen, part of the Robert Irvine Foundation Let’s Chow Food Truck Program, prepared a Cuban-inspired meal as veterans and military families came together for an evening focused on connection, shared experiences, and community.
One guest described the evening as bringing “class, culture, and dignity” to the veteran experience.
Meaningful support is not always complicated. Sometimes it starts by simply creating spaces where people can come together and feel connected again.

It's taken years to get attention, headlines, and most importantly: real change in how we take care of our service members @RobertIrvine

“Her husband is gone. But she is not alone.”
This Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who never made it home, the veterans who carry their memory forward, and the families whose lives were changed forever by that sacrifice.
Last year, one of our Gold Star widows participated in a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on behalf of the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines.
She shared, “I've always felt really close to everyone here from his unit. They always keep in touch, they support me in my life, and make sure I am taken care of. We are family forever.”
That enduring sense of connection is what today is truly about.
At the Robert Irvine Foundation, programs like Reuniting the Brave help veterans and Gold Star families reconnect with the people and communities who continue to walk beside them long after the uniform comes off.
Because no family should carry loss alone.

I've spent years showing up for this community. Not because someone asked me to, but because I've seen what happens when no one does.
I’ve looked service members and veterans in the eye and witnessed the real cost of isolation and silence. That’s something that stays with you.
So, when @WeFaceTheFight asked me to be part of this conversation, there was no hesitation. I joined JoAnne Bass and @PatrickMurphyPA for a real talk hosted by Anthony Shop of @ChiefInfluencer.
These conversations aren't about scripts or polish, they're about what it takes to reach veterans before crisis hits. They're about meeting people where they are, using your platform when it matters, and recognizing that waiting isn’t a strategy.
Listen to it. Then tag a leader below who needs to hear it. If you're reading this, you probably know someone who does.

Healthy habits often start at home and around the table.
Recently, Chef Dan Lee from Farina Pasta, one of our Let’s Chow food trucks, joined members of our Programs team and RIF volunteer Melissa Benjamin to spend the afternoon with a military family, helping their kids prepare nutritious snacks and meals together through hands-on cooking and connection in the kitchen at Vetri Community Partnership in Philadelphia. @vetricommunity
While Let’s Chow is often recognized for serving meals in communities across the country, moments like these show how our programs can work together in meaningful ways.
This pilot experience reflects our commitment to strengthening military families through nutrition, connection, and shared experiences that support long-term wellness before challenges become crisis.
Because food is more than fuel. It has the power to bring people together.
@RFKJr_Official , @SecWar ans @SecRollins are doing great things with food not only for our military but also our school system and taking care of our farmers .. it’s a collective team effort 🙏🇺🇸💪😎💯

Food is fuel. And fuel is everything.
The Robert Irvine Foundation believes food is more than nourishment. It is the foundation for strength, performance, and long-term well-being.
We are working to improve how we fuel our soldiers, support the education of future military doctors, and care for those who serve.
Strength doesn't come from grit alone. It is built and maintained by what fuels the body and the mind.
