What I loved about Royce Keys' heel turn on RAW is that there were no redeemable qualities. He wasn't trying to be a cool heel. He gave you ZERO reason to like him.
He brought backup to attack the Bloodline, the group that wronged him.
Then he attacked the same people he teamed with at SummerSlam against the Bloodline, the same people who didn't come to his aid when Jacob Fatu destroyed him.
And the execution was perfect. The facial expressions when he took the bandana off, the aggression in every attack, that spinebuster... everything felt different.
The boos were LOUD, he closed the show, and WWE immediately presented him like a major heel.
Really excited to see how they build on this.
WWE has tried to recreate The Shield magic way too many times, from Retribution to DarkState, and most of them fell apart because of bad booking. 😭
Now OTM with Royce Keys has serious potential. 🔥
Just don’t make them “The Shield 2.0.” Give Royce, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price their own identity, direction and time to grow.
Don’t copy The Shield. Learn from it. And PLEASE don’t rush the breakup. 😂🔥
Royce Keys turning heel was a good move. He's so much better in that role.
I haven't seen a lot of OTM to give an opinion but this trio does look very cold.
