A grassroots movement to build community, mobilize, train & support young, diverse women entering electoral politics. We’re bold, we’re progressive, we’re next.
We triggered the first primary election in 14 years. OUR supporters, collecting signatures in the bitter snow for 5 weeks, did that.
No matter who the vote is for, every single vote cast to day is ours - because we made this election happen.
Today I filed my papers to be Ward 12’s next Councilwoman. Since I kicked off this campaign in January I have been humbled by the support I’ve received from Smith Hill. So many have told me they are ready for new leadership+ I can’t wait to bring it- coming at you Sept 12th💃⚡️
Hey @mjhegar: we’re willing to bet this ad alone will inspire hundreds of young women to grow up and be just like you — fight for what’s right, be an awesome mom, be a leader, and run for office.
We need an army of women like you in Congress. Go MJ, go! #RiseOfTheWoman https://t.co/gsELF61ciM
“Single moms are an enormous and underrepresented demographic: Nearly 9.5 million unmarried women are raising children under 18 in this country, yet only a handful of single moms have ever served in Congress.” https://t.co/Ca3Clk2wZy
This is big. A record number of Native women are running for office.
It’s about time we tecgonize their leadership - let’s get more Native women to run and win! #RiseOfTheWoman https://t.co/SpNTQtpjuM
Women running for office are facing unbelievable barriers. But they’re not stopping. We’re grateful for that. #RiseToRun
