As our application grows, the number of database queries increases as well 📈

With the increasing number of queries, especially INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations, we might face data inconsistency issues if some queries run successfully while others fail ☹️

For example, suppose we are working with an application that has a wallet for every user 💳

If the query for purchasing a product executes successfully but the query for deducting the wallet balance fails, it can cause significant problems in the business 👎

To solve this problem, always use database transactions when executing multiple queries.

A good rule of thumb is: "Whenever we have more than one query, we should consider implementing a database transaction" ✅

Here is an example implementation of a database transaction within a try-catch block that performs a commit only if all the queries are successful; otherwise, it rolls back all the queries

Hey Laravel Developers 👩‍💻

Starting from Laravel v11.18.0 we have a new parameter available on the Str::limit() method called preserveWords.

An example use case of the limit method() is while displaying previews of text content like summaries or blog post excerpts.

But while using the limit method until now it did not consider whether it would break the word in between.

However, we can now pass the preserveWords parameter as true and Laravel will smartly apply a limit such that the last word is complete.

This can lead to a better user experience for some applications.

Hey Laravel Developers 👩‍💻

Laravel provides us with an `array` validation that validates whether the given input is a valid array or not.

The array validation rules also take a list of array keys as the parameter that the array should contain.

I have often seen many developers skipping specifying the valid nested array keys, but this can have severe unintended side effects.

So it is important to specify the array keys inside the validation.

Here is an example of before and after code which protects our application from unintended happenings

Tailwind has this <alpha-value> that you can use to modify the opacity of color.

eg: text-red-400/40
=> 40 is the opacity modifier value.
