On August 4–5, 2026, the @RisingWinners, through the Her Space Project, convened a transformative two-day training targeting identified champions across Kaloleni, Kilifi South, and Rabai Sub-Counties.
🎯 Objective: To actively promote gender equality and challenge entrenched norms, empowering adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to confidently assert their autonomy and rights.
💡 Day 1 Highlights:
Foundations of AGYW gender equality and SRHR
Exploring gender and power dynamics
Mapping harmful norms and socialization
Intersectionality and inclusion
💡 Day 2 Highlights:
Rights-based advocacy and justice pathways with judiciary engagement
Strategies for engaging parents, teachers, and religious leaders
Designing grassroots actions for community transformation
Accountability through community scorecards
This training reflects the @RisingWinners' deliberate investment in strengthening grassroots networks, expanding seeds of championship, and equipping community champions to drive norm-challenging advocacy; empowering not only #AGYW but all #AYP across Kilifi County.

The rising cases of teenage pregnancies, new HIV infections, persistent sexual and gender-based violence; including femicide, and the growing menace of criminal gangs can be addressed if we prioritize the empowerment of adolescents and youth.
