Ikka Noviyanti, Executive Director of Y+ Global and her intervention at the Multistakeholder Hearing in the lead up to the High-level Meeting on HIV/AIDS @UNAIDS
“True country ownership does not mean governments working alone. It means young people & communities at the centre of decision-making, service delivery, and accountability.” - Ikka Noviyanti, ExD at Y+ Global during her intervention at the Multi-Stakeholder Hearing @UNAIDS#HLM
Young people are key to shaping stronger HIV, TB, and malaria responses. The Y2Y Consortium’s Grant Cycle 8 (#GC8) Youth Engagement Guideline offers practical steps for youth-led organisations to engage in @GlobalFund processes. Download the resource 👉🏼 https://t.co/wiF5w3jSFJ
As part of the Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing ahead of the 2026 UN HLM on HIV/AIDS, Ikka Noviyanti, ExD of Y+ Global, reminds us that young people and communities are not just participating in the HIV response; they are holding it together. Watch⏯️ https://t.co/jievSIGSVH
Young people are not the future of the #HIV response; we are already leading it. Kimberly Springer, Chair of the Board at Y+ Global, shares why meaningful engagement means being involved from the start, with real influence, funding and support. Watch ⏯️ https://t.co/jievSIGSVH.
We cannot end AIDS without ending stigma and discrimination and upholding human rights and gender equality in the HIV response.
The 10-10-10 targets aim to make this a reality.

📣 We @UNAIDS welcome expanded rollout of HIV prevention medicine and call for urgent action to ensure equitable and affordable global access.
This expanded commitment is an important step forward, and we applaud the @GlobalFund and the 🇺🇸 United States for accelerating access to lenacapavir.
However, to #endAIDS as a public health threat, we must urgently go further—by enabling large-scale generic manufacturing, especially on the African continent, lowering prices through transparent, equitable pricing frameworks that enable widespread uptake in low- and middle-income countries.
Communities have waited too long for prevention options that meet their needs. #Lenacapavir can be transformative—but only if it is accessible, affordable and available everywhere.
We call on all partners to work together to break down barriers, speed up generic production, and invest in manufacturing, particularly in Africa which remains the epicentre of the epidemic, so that no one is left behind.
A livelihood is more than income. It shapes dignity, stability, and health.
When people are excluded economically, access to services drops and harmful coping strategies increase, putting individuals and communities at greater risk.
Strengthening livelihoods is essential to improving health outcomes and building resilience.

Hi Family and partners! Peer-assisted referral to Community Health Promoters (#CHP) and health facilities is a powerful pathway for adolescent girls and young women (#AGYW) to access comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services. This embedment, a great cost-effective approach into meaningful engagement of AGYW to Primary Health Care Networks, Kilifi County can:
✅ Build trust and reduce stigma
✅ Ensure continuity of care
✅ Promote holistic, sustainable access to health services
This model guarantees empowerment of AGYW voices, strengthens community systems, and aligns with Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) goals. Let’s champion #AGYWVoicesKilifi and invest in pathways that put young women at the centre of quality health care! #HerSpaceKilifi #AGYWChampions #HerVoiceKilifi #GenderEqualityNow #SRHRJustice #HerVoiceFund #CommunityAGYWGenderSRHRChampions @Amref_Kenya@DOHKilifi@KilifiCountyGov@HerVoiceFund@ViiVHC
When young people are meaningfully engaged, they become powerful advocates not just for themselves but for the health of their peers and communities. This is the role of #VibrantYoungVoices in HIV responses.👉🏼 https://t.co/PxjXHzUQ8l @teampata@RobertCarrFund@childrenandHIV
Glad to have been part of the initiative to formalize the Kaya Chonyi Association and to witness the government’s recognition of the Kaya Forest. As youth, we are inspired and committed to playing an active role in protecting and preserving it for future generations.#conservation
HIV prevention should work for everyone.
Innovations like @Lenacapavir are expanding prevention choices by offering long-acting protection that fits different lifestyles.
More options mean more people can stay protected.
