The decorator's entry into the coach was unauthorized and is viewed as a serious lapse.

The concerned staff (Ticket Checker ) has been placed under suspension, and a detailed departmental inquiry has been ordered.

Appropriate action will be taken based on the inquiry findings.

A nation playing at its first FIFA World Cup stood across from the defending world champions, a team filled with players who have won everything, and they never showed fear for one second.

Cape Verde didn’t park the bus and pray. They defended like lions, yes, but they also believed they could score. They believed they could hurt Argentina, and they did it twice.

Their goalkeeper refused to surrender. Their defenders never stopped fighting. Every substitution brought fresh legs and fresh belief. Even when Messi reminded everyone why he’s one of the greatest players in history, Cape Verde simply got up and fought again.

Revenge!!! Alex Eala defeats Maya Joint, who beat her in a heartbreaking 3-setter in Eastbourne last year. 3 sets again this time but what a 3rd set Alex played 6-0!

Maya came out swinging and Alex seemingly couldn’t find answers but once she broke through Maya’s armor, Alex ball-striking was pure confidence.

More importantly, it’s Alex’s first time to reach the 3rd round of a major. The first Filipino to do so. Another milestone!

She plays Wimbledon defending champ Iga Swiatek next. Will obviously be a tough but she’s beaten Iga before so it’s not impossible!

I did not go with the team to train in Ireland. As a father, I wanted to stay at the hospital every single hour of the day.

But every day, I drove into Carrington. I trained for two hours on my own, and then I went back to the hospital. When the team was back from Ireland, I was at training on Saturday. I didn’t know if I would be selected for the game. But I’m playing for United. I had to do my job. I had to know that I had done everything I could to be ready. 

Fortunately, the operation was a success, and after that my daughter only wanted mom mom mom. A week later, she was back home, watching daddy play on the TV. When she watches me, she points to the badge and says, “United! United!”
