We didn’t have enough in our budget to film a visualizer for Brown Skin so we decided to be creative and edit stock footage.

The thing about music is, you really gotta just make whatever YOU want to and let that authentic approach attract the people who naturally like what you like. Anything other than that, you won’t be happy for long
dug into this take on @RsnbleDialogue with @DJMissMilan. monoculture is absolutely dead and it’s a major advantage for artists who really have something to say.
We’ve been working on an project with a $1000 budget. Also me and my creative partner work full time jobs so filming visuals can be a challenge therefore we decided to be creative and use stock footage for this visual.

Gorillaz think that AI art is “just laziness” dressed up as creativity, slowly eroding the skills that make artists artists.
In a recent conversation with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, members Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn shared their unfiltered takes on AI art. Hewlett explained, “We're just getting lazier and lazier, and then we lose all our skill, and then we don't do anything anymore...They tap in a command, the AI generates an image, and they say 'I did that'—which is bullsh*t.”
That said, @gorillaz are nothing if not pragmatic "long-termists." The two explained that they've been “making friends with all the robots in LA.” Hewlett shared their reasoning: “When the obvious happens in about ten years' time, we're gonna be friends with the robots.”

@tinaturttle I believe that was bound to happen due to this era of the internet with streaming and multiple social platforms. Music is very fragmented nowadays therefore emerging artists can cultivate their own fanbase. Underground doesn’t even mean the same thing anymore
Social media has really f*cked up a lot of artists’ intuition. Your gut isn’t always right 100% of the time, but it only needs to be right SOMETIMES to change your entire life…
we gotta stop overthinking the music,
just drop what you feel.
the music is meant to be enjoyed.
yes, find your timing with your releases, but life is too short to hoard the music.
