My son was a bright child I knew for sure he would make me proud, Jimmy was my last born and the only son out of my 3 children .I raised him in so much problems did my best to keep him in school Gatamaiyu Senior School

My son had dreams and kept promising me "mum nitakununulia shamba na nikujengee siku moja" .The call I received from school has shattered my life I have no hope left . Walking into that small room in that dispensary and seeing my son Jimmy facing up lifeless killed me instant, I would never wish any parent to go through what I have been through

Doing my sukuma wiki "kibanda" business when my son is at the mortuary could not have been possible.For almost two months. I have cried to a point no more tears comes out of my eyes

I have so many questions to ask but who do I ask. The school I entrusted my child in has neglected me , my crime was questioning the death of my baby

I requested my child's body to be taken to a public mortuary but I was told the police car could only get to Githunguri a private morgue. 2 months down raising 75,000 ksh for just mortuary fee was a he'll of a journey .. but thanks so much ❤️

I feel tortured weak and dead inside . As i wear my sons sweater it gives me hopes as if he will wake up and tell me mum everything will be ok 💔😢.

I’m currently stuck at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Surgical Ward 4C, and I honestly don’t know what else to do.

The SHA officer handling discharges at the 4D office is very rude, corrupt, and abusive.

Since yesterday, I’ve been waiting in line to have my child discharged.

This officer keeps ignoring the queue and only attends to people she personally calls aside - people she seems to know.

We’ve been here since yesterday, yet she just walks out, brings in others, processes them fast, and leaves the rest of us stranded.

When I politely told her that what she was doing was unfair, she got angry, banged her office door, and later called me in.

Inside, she fined me Ksh 2,070, saying my baby overstayed an extra day after discharge.

I immediately rushed to Malipo Center downstairs and paid the amount, but when I came back, she said she wouldn’t discharge my baby unless I wrote an apology letter to her, stamped by the area Chief!

I never insulted her or caused a scene - I only questioned her favoritism and suspicious behavior. Right now, my baby is being held at KNH just because I refused to bow to corruption and humiliation.

I’m pleading for help. Can the relevant authorities please intervene?

This is unfair, and no parent should go through this kind of frustration when their child is in hospital.

And this is Tumticha Medical Centre, registered this year.

According to SHA records, in April, it received a total of KSh 1.5 million, much more than even the sub-county hospital in the area.

But remember, this is just a single-room facility that doesn’t handle any complex procedures, not even basic lab tests.

What’s shocking is that MoH still gave it a license and considered it worthy of being called a hospital.
