Laurence will be featured as a very special guest, tattooing live all day, and into the night of the 14th of July at the Two Rivers Gallery (@tworiversgallery) where we will be celebrating the closing of the THE TREE PLANTERS.

Pictured is a detail of “Evan’s tattoo of Earnest and Evan,” 40x54 inches in THE TREE PLANTERS. Laurence Morin gave Evan this tattoo in 2018, as a celebration of his friendship with his dog — a mainstay of camp, and a joy at work. Earnest died suddenly, on the block, in 2019.

Additional celebrations of the end of this incredible exhibition are two screenings of the film, at 7 PM on the 15th and a matinee on the 16th. Keep cool and stay tuned for more details. Planters wanted!

The party will feature art, great company, cash bar, book signings by Rita, and a special guest tattoo spot by Laurence Morin – who will be tattooing throughout the day, and into the night of the party.

From 730 to 930PM on July 14th, there will be a special party to celebrate the closing of THE TREE PLANTERS — a film, book, and exhibition about the great Canadian rite of passage, which the Two Rivers Gallery in PG has been hosting in its full scope for the first time in Canada.

We could not be more excited to be screening FOREST FOR THE TREES at this this highly anticipated and exciting new festival, at the renowned Blue Mountain Ski Resort. Blue Mountain is iconic and the screening will be a homecoming for Rita, who grew up as a regular in the area.

To give more folks a chance to make it out of the bush and into the art gallery, we're holding an event at the end of the exhibition on Thursday July 14th. The party will feature a celeb cameo by tattooist Laurence Morin "performing" tree planter-themed tattoos on the premises.
