Happy Winter Solstice! I'd usually be having a family reunion during Winter Solstice, eating glutinous rice balls. But this year is extra special as I'm participating in the Saptarishi Arati happening in Isha Yoga Centre Coimbatore this evening.

Saptarishi Arati is a powerful process taught by Shiva to his disciples, the seven sages, thousands of years ago. It remains preserved in its pure form thanks to Kashi Vishwanath temple's priests in Varanasi - creating powerful stacks of energy.

Annually, during the winter solstice, seven Kashi priests perform the Saptarishi Arati, expressing gratitude to the Saptarishis for Shiva’s grace. This is the only ceremony that occurs outside the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Shiva transmitted this ancient technology to the Saptarishis, witnessed by Devi, enabling them to carry his presence as they dispersed globally to share the science of #Yoga. Thus, the Saptarishi Arati originated when they asked #Shiva, “How can we carry your presence with us?”

Sadhguru Sri Brahma wanted to spend a night at Kasi Vishwanath Temple, Ooty. But, the Yogi guarding the entrance refused as Sri Brahma was naked. Sri Brahma moved to a nearby cremation ground to spend the night.

When that guard Yogi followed Sri Brahma to the cremation ground, he saw flowers falling over Sri Brahma. Surprised, he wondered what was happening. He soon realized that there were many disembodied beings. Unleashing his powerful fierce Shakti, Sri Brahma (in the role of Kala Bhairava) was liberating all the disembodied beings without moving at all. Those disembodied beings were thanking and blessing Sri Brahma with flowers. The temple Yogi apologized and became a disciple of Sri Brahma.
