Think about that:

Here’s my view, plainly.

Sadhguru has always been upfront that he isn’t a sastra scholar and doesn’t subscribe to astrology. He has never claimed otherwise. His approach is experiential, contemporary and designed for people who were never going to read a grantha or sit through a traditional discourse.

But outcomes matter more than labels.

Thousands who were disconnected from their roots are now meditating, chanting, learning Bharatanatyam and Kalaripayattu, participating in temple culture, and becoming aware of civilizational dangers. That’s a measurable shift.

And in Tamil Nadu a state where subjects like religious conversions, temple neglect, and cultural erosion have long been politically sensitive…he has brought these conversations back into mainstream discussion. Not through institutional power or political alliances, but through visibility, influence, and sheer reach.

This is where people miss the larger point:

Sanatana Dharma never operated on a “one rule for all” framework.
It never demanded uniform paths, uniform practices, or uniform teachers. It allowed diversity of methods as long as the direction was towards clarity, responsibility, and inner growth.

And within that landscape, the padvi of a Guru has always been honored. Whether you believe in him or not, follow him or not, like him or not….respect the seat.
Not for the person, but for the continuity and spiritual responsibility it represents.
Mocking that seat weakens our own cultural foundations, not his.

Disagree? Perfectly fine.
Choose a different lineage? Absolutely fine.
Prefer classical methods? No problem at all.

But the sneering, the hostility, the gatekeeping….that only shrinks the ecosystem from within. When the civilizational ground is under pressure, attacking those who are bringing people back into the fold is not strength…it’s short sightedness.

People are returning.
People are reconnecting.
People who once mocked temples are now chanting Sankara.

If a teacher can trigger that shift, acknowledge the gain….even if the path doesn’t align with your personal template.

Unity doesn’t require uniformity.
It requires maturity.

And right now, that maturity is non negotiable.
