Tai Tzu Ying’s style of play lit up the world of #badminton.

She possessed such an array of shots and technical skills that her racket appeared to have more magical powers than Harry Potter’s wand. Her dancing feet so fast, and her movement so smooth, she appeared to simply glide over the court.

She was both creative and adventurous in her style of play. The epitome of the phrase “expect the unexpected”.

Fiercely competitive, yet she always upheld the ethical values of sport, always displaying exemplary sportsmanship while conducting herself with both grace and humility.

Whilst it’s sad we no longer have the pleasure of Tai Tzu Ying gracing the international courts, that sadness also acts as a beautiful reminder of the sheer joy we experienced in watching her play.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Dr. Tai Tzu Ying.
