This IIT Bombay row is getting out of hand. The kid should not have cheated. Once caught, he should have faced the consequences bravely. His death was due to his own mental weakness and issues. Blaming the IIT Director is wrong. India, please 🙏 grow up.

•You’d surely feel insecure if you scored 93 marks and were sitting next to someone who scored 280+.

•A GC student scoring 150+ marks will never get into a top IIT.

BIG BREAKING 🚨 IIT Bombay faculty members march in support of Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla.

The Faculty Forum says Doolla followed the Senate-approved examination procedure when he reported second-year student Sahil Wakode for alleged phone use during an exam on Sept 18.

Wakode’s family has named Doolla in an FIR under BNS Section 108 and the SC/ST Act, alleging caste-based harassment.

IIT Bombay has rejected the caste-related allegations. The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the case.

देश में 23 IIT हैं। 12 IIT ऐसे होने चाहिए जहाँ केवल Open Category Cut-off क्लियर करने वाले और EWS छात्रों को प्रवेश मिले।

6 IIT पूरी तरह OBC कोटे के छात्रों के लिए और बाकी 5 IIT SC/ST छात्रों के लिए आरक्षित हों।

इन संस्थानों का स्टाफ भी उन्हीं वर्गों से होना चाहिए, जिन वर्गों के छात्र वहाँ पढ़ते हैं।

कैंपस में जातिवाद की समस्या को खत्म करने का यही एकमात्र तरीका है।

When caught he was counselled and sent home

The student committed suicide due to reasons known to him, turned out he was SC/ST

Invigilator who caught him cheating was booked under SC/ST Act and the student family was given compensation immediately
