Today I am putting forward a proposal for the "Plaza": A batteries-included, scalable Polkadot System Chain.

This proposal aims to put a broader story and direction behind currently scattered efforts to add smart contracts and lower fees on Polkadot's AssetHub chain.

The new direction I propose is to focus on scaling out AssetHub to the maximum possible level for a single chain and making it a central hub for the ecosystem, complete with smart contracts, bridges, exchange, custodian, and staking integration.

Smoldot @Polkadot's light-client just hit 1.0.0 and it now outperforms RPC! And with the Connect browser extension, there's not even a few seconds sync time on page load. Here it's used by several pages and for several networks including Westmint. Yup - works for parachains, too!

@zmanian @Jam10o @izqui9 No. The EVM plus any other runtime module are part of your runtime's business logic. This logic is what is validated on Polkadot using this validation function.
