@Dave_Hunter@PippengerHarlo Huh? Prop 5 failed with 55% “no” votes (I voted yes for the record). Meanwhile, YIMBY policies are popular with the SFiscans surveyed by GrowSF: https://t.co/DqwAtgPPPo
@loomdoop Just depends what happens. We don’t generate much revenue from the transfer tax (<1% of the budget). If this boosts gross receipts and sales tax revenues thru increased population, it would be a net tax increase. The budget was screwed no matter what
@the_good_matty@uhshanti Prop I has been a failure, mostly due to the crash in real estate in SF. Last fiscal year, TOTAL transfer taxes were <$200M so Prop I isn’t even generating enough revenue to build 100 homes per year and our deficit is 10s of k.
You have a math PhD, you know this
@CoachLenox6@Tyler_The_Wise@Whatapityonyou Don’t reply to conversations on Twitter with unsupported opinions. It’s a waste of everyone’s time and makes you look dumb.
Feel free to Tweet your opinions to your followers who might actually care!
@mateosfo@nathansnewman Well, we could also just be TX instead of CA and make people pay property taxes, some of which could be used to fund low-income housing vouchers. But this doesn’t “end landlords” so we make people wait and live on the street while folks “organize”
@CoachLenox6@Tyler_The_Wise@Whatapityonyou STILL not getting it.
Opinions are like assholes: everyone has one. If you don’t have any evidence to support your opinion, keep it to yourself.
“Cardinals fans are dumb” is my opinion, I won’t be taking questions
@CoachLenox6@Tyler_The_Wise@Whatapityonyou Why would I want to have a conversation with you? You have LITERALLY provided zero value. I am SURE you have friends that have lied about who they voted for, I am highly skeptical that they lied to an anonymous pollster about this
@tjpain2@jhan2qt@Sigdrifr@ThymeToBeBorn@Salovville The fact that you think it’s absurd that Big Pharma ignores lower margin/lower revenue drugs is evidence that you aren’t familiar with Big Pharma business practices.
I AGREE that young men using steroids is a problem, but we need to look elsewhere besides Big Pharma to solve it
@CoachLenox6@Tyler_The_Wise@Whatapityonyou Why would you REPLY to a thread with an unsupported opinion and not want to contribute to a discussion?
Ok buddy, voters lie in polls. Let’s ignore all the research contradicting this based on the opinion of a random guy in STL
@tjpain2@jhan2qt@Sigdrifr@ThymeToBeBorn@Salovville Your working theory is that Big Pharma is taking time away from selling GLP-1 agonists to generate demand for AAS-induced hypogonadism that have presented in *97* patients?
@CoachLenox6@Tyler_The_Wise@Whatapityonyou This is actually funny: I am pointing out to you that your tweet is not constructive to any kind of discussion and you just can’t get it, and your takeaway is that I am somehow dumb
@tjpain2@jhan2qt@Sigdrifr@ThymeToBeBorn@Salovville $280M/5 years is nothing to Big Pharma.
You aren’t understanding the business realities here. LOTS of good reasons to oppose young men taking anabolic steroids off label. The idea that Big Pharma is pushing this is nonsense.
