ExCoordinadora General MVC, Ex Candidata Comisionada Residente, Senadora y Portavoz MVC 2020-24, Abogada y Presidenta CAAPR 2012-14, defensora derechos humanos.
I am deeply honored and grateful to receive the endorsement of the Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana (MVC) Diaspora Network.
My involvement with MVC has always been rooted in a simple belief: our communities deserve a voice, whether we live on the island or in the diaspora. As a Puerto Rican raised on the Lower East Side, I know that our struggles, our culture, and our future are deeply connected across borders.
I got involved because MVC represents values that resonate with me: self-determination, democracy, transparency, social justice, and the belief that ordinary people should have power over the decisions that shape their lives. These are the same values that have guided my work as an organizer, advocate, and candidate.
The Puerto Rican diaspora has a responsibility not only to celebrate our culture, but to stand in solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico in the fight for dignity, economic justice, and a future free from austerity and displacement.
This endorsement means so much because it comes from people who believe in building a different kind of politics, one that is accountable to community, not political machines; one that values participation over exclusion; and one that understands that real change comes from the ground up.
Thank you to the @mvcdiaspora for your trust, your partnership, and your commitment to a better future for Puerto Ricans everywhere. Together, we will continue building bridges between our communities and fighting for justice on both sides of the water.
A status bill that includes colonialism as an option is not decolonization.
@RepAOC & I oppose the Resident Commissioner's legislation & will keep fighting for real self-determination for Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico's colonial status is a stain on our history. It must end.
Rev. Jesse Jackson dedicated his life to the belief that our struggles are connected and that justice belongs to everyone.
To me, he was an adviser and a friend. To America, he was a moral compass. Rest in peace, Reverend. Keep hope alive.
Try as they might, the Trump administration can never erase the LGBTQ+ history of Stonewall.
New Yorkers and the LGBTQ+ community will not be silenced. The flag will be restored, and we will continue to resist this administration's bigotry at every turn.

ICE has become a rogue agency.
Untrained, unchecked agents are being handed badges and guns, and the consequences are deadly.
We saw that with the tragic killing of Renee Nicole Good — and it will happen again unless this agency is brought under control.
Today I stood up on the House floor to support this war powers resolution.
We are sleepwalking into another disastrous foreign war.
This isn’t about drugs—it’s about regime change and control of Venezuela’s resources. Congress must act now.

Power outages are part of daily life for Puerto Ricans. Meanwhile, vulture fund Golden Tree is trying to cash in on PREPA’s debt putting profits over people.
At today’s NRC hearing, I made it clear: This is Golden Tree vs. the People of Puerto Rico. And we know which side we’re on.
