The most generous estimates put loyalists at 10-20% the population before the war. The colonists thought of themselves as free people and represented their colonies as nation states

Sure the demographic make up was ethnically British but there was 10 colonists to every 1 loyalist. After the war they were promptly sent off to Canada and England or assimilated
It took about a few days before I started feeling normal and the palpitations subsided, the mental side effects lasted a bit longer it was around 4 weeks before I felt strong and confident again. spooked me big time since I had never experienced anything like it. My blood pressure was at Stage 1 hypertension they thought I was just stressed out but I’ve never been an anxious person. To this day we don’t really know what caused it.
