This new episode of the @uihpodcast is a vital and timely reminder of Israel's long history self-criticism. That tradition is a crucial part of Israel's unique character and success. Which is why it's so dangerous that this self-criticism has become vilified over the last decade -- in large part due to the vilification of Israel by the outside world. Please listen. https://t.co/0GEu7ZKAWi
@jessesingal Noam Weissman/Unpacking Israeli History addressed this story, and what it means to move from propaganda to education (especially with Israel):

@jonfavs@Yair_Rosenberg You guys prompted an important topic, how to have these conversations in the first place. This episode of Unpacking Israeli History is not about Hasan Piker, but about how to make sure audiences (of all stripes!) are being given education, not propaganda

As always, thanks for your fair and accurate journalism
What is the difference between antisemitism and bigotry? Is it really a singular hatred? Were American Jews naive to believe that antisemitism couldn't emerge in the US or is America really unique in Jewish history? Join a lively discussion with Noam, Haviv and @mijalbitton.>
This was a fun conversation.
The inimitable Noam Weissman tried to get me riled up by citing a bunch of anti-Zionist arguments. He succeeded.
We talked about what’s wrong with the new Wikipedia article on Zionism, with academic anti-Zionism and even with the Zionist telling of Zionism’s story.
(Spoiler: It’s the same thing.)
We laughed, we cried, I cursed a few times (really).
Thanks for having me on, Noam. It was therapeutic.

Unpacking Israeli History, Season 6, Ep1 launched this morning. I'm so proud of our work sharing the complicated/amazing story of Israel. As we keep saying, this season isn't about 10/7, but it's also fully about 10/7. @JewishUnpacked @noamlweissman https://t.co/SQnLNmlXyq
NEW POD ALERT!! Couldn't be more excited about Wondering Jews with @mijalbitton and @noamlweissman, two of the most out-of-the-box, dynamic Jewish thinkers today. Check it out wherever you listen to pods - brought to you by @JewishUnpacked

@conor64 A friend of mine is friends with some of them, she says they are waiting to speak to the press until they secure a lawyer to represent the students
People are dunking on this, and I get it, but I think A. having more data is better than less, even if it's incomplete B. Target should release their internal data, so we get more realistic info C. worth discussing: WHY there are so many incidents, and yet, so few police reports?
1. Last week, @Target announced it was closing 9 stores due to theft, generating an avalanche of credulous coverage from nearly every major media outlet
One thing that was missing from all these stories: DATA
So Popular Information tracked it down

When I was in college in Baltimore, I used to go to this coffee shop called @redemmas. I didn't know anything about Emma Goldman, but the coffee was awesome, and I liked perusing the books. Next time I'm in Baltimore, I'll be back at Red Emma's, but a lot more knowledgable 📕☕️📕
How much do you know about this Jewish anarchist who made waves in early 20th-century America by challenging the status quo? #JewishHistoryNerds#JAHM

Happy Yom Ha'aztmaut! This is the final episode of the Israel@75 mini-series, and Season 4 of Unpacking Israeli History. Israel is complicated and messy and amazing, and I think/hope this season really reflected that 🔥🇮🇱🔥 @JewishUnpacked @noamlweissman
This is the story of Israel’s declaration of independence – and of its ongoing evolution as a modern state #UnpackingIsraeliHistory

It's finally out! @FeigelsonJosh and I have spent months working on this podcast, called Soulful Jewish Living: Mindful Practices For Every Day. My instinct is that no matter who you are, or how/if you practice religion, this show can impact your life https://t.co/yRuINBGaKa
@erichoke In the observant Jewish community, this is definitely an thing (informally). When we went to Cincinnati, I found a woman who cooked six kosher "catered" meals for us, and we just drove to her house for pickup. Made keeping kosher infinitely easier!
Today, I spent an hour editing 3 scripts for a (stay tuned!) pod about Jewish mindfulness. I also edited a pod audio about Israeli history. Then, I spent 45 minutes scheduling recording sessions for a Jewish history pod. tl;dr - I have the best job in the world @JewishUnpacked
I grew up thinking Israel was perfect, so this was a hard episode. But understanding history helps us make better decisions today. As an Israeli listener said, "the more ignorant one is, the more arrogant he is, & arrogant soldiers can be a recipe for disaster." @JewishUnpacked
This week's episode of #UnpackingIsraeliHistory is dedicated to the 49 Israeli citizens murdered at Kfar Qassem. May their memories be a blessing.
