#BREAKING: Elon Musk & Steve Wozniak Ask for a Pause on A.I due to ‘Profound Risks to Society’ Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, Andrew Yang and other key figures have called for an immediate pause on A.I. due to the profound risk it poses society. The issues they highlighted were: 1. A.I. developers are locked in a race to deploy powerful digital ‘minds’ that even the creators cannot understand, predict or control. 2. Gary Marcus argued that A.I. is unnecessarily shaping the direction of our world. 3. “A.I. development has seen corporate irresponsibility, widespread adoption, lack of regulation and a huge number of unknowns”. 4. Elon Musk asked for a pause on systems that are more powerful than GPT-4 to introduce safety protocols. 5. The first letter asks for government intervention to institute a moratorium, if there isn’t an immediate pause. 6. A.I. development should only continue once we know it’s positive impact, and that we can manage the risks Can A.I. lead to a dystopian future? Will the world follow the recommendations of @elonmusk and @stevewoz?

Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, Andrew Yang and other key figures have called for an immediate pause on A.I. due to the profound risk it poses society.

The issues they highlighted were:

1. A.I. developers are locked in a race to deploy powerful digital ‘minds’ that even the creators cannot understand, predict or control.

6. A.I. development should only continue once we know it’s positive impact, and that we can manage the risks

Can A.I. lead to a dystopian future?

Will the world follow the recommendations of @elonmusk and @stevewoz?

@stargazer109 @navin_g_k @CharlesDoBronxs @MAKHACHEVMMA Very small chance any fight is bigger than Khabib vs Conor....however in terms of competence, Islam vs Charles was huge as people were really expecting Olivera to beat Islam.....
