The US, Israel and Iran have all bumbled through this war and missed opportunities, but Pakistan deserves great credit for consistently working very hard as an intermediary for peace between capricious and obdurate enemies. Bravo, @CMShehbaz and COAS Munir.
Nothing is confirmed and finalized yet, and the spoilers should not be underestimated, but lots of activity that points in the direction of a deal.
A few things stand out:
1. The role of China in the background is essential. Without having its fingerprints on the deal, and by that, avoiding any responsibility if it fails, China is emerging as the silent, indispensable diplomatic power in the region. (While Pakistan's Asim Munir is traveling to Tehran, the Pakistani Prime Minister will be departing for Beijing shortly)
2. The regional involvement in the mediation is astounding: Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi and Oman are all or have all been playing an instrumental role in moving things forward. If a deal is reached, it will have regional buy-in (save from Israel and the UAE) at levels far beyond the JCPOA.

Nothing lasts forever of course. But this reads like desperation masquerading as analysis - a hallmark of Indian media ecosystem (not saying NI is Indian media OK)
I spent the last few weeks speaking to US lawmakers about Pakistan’s emergence as a mediator w/ Iran. In this reported essay for @TheNatlInterest, I argue that the longstanding skepticism toward Islamabad won’t go away overnight, despite the current moment:https://t.co/Bv1YieNRWm
2/2 But this space is not the right platform to expand one’s thoughts. But the very fact that how intellectually bankrupt their foreign policy establishment is, surprises me.
1/2 It’s fun to watch Modi’s Indians these days. Sunk deep in the muck of hatred and bigotry and intoxicated by their own delusions, they can’t understand one bit why the world has shown them a middle finger and why Pakistan profile has risen. To me it’s not hard to understand.
Pow pow ne waar rukwa di. Also, this is not an era of war.
India's wasted 12 years where the whole foreign policy energy and effort has been devoted towards marginalising and isolating Pakistan, and pretending as if it doesn't exist. And this is where it has ended up.
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has repeatedly cited the Indian government as one of the main perpetrators of foreign interference and transnational repression in Canada in recent years

Breaking | #Pakistan and #SaudiArabia signal the possibility of a joint military action against #Iran for the first time since the start of the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and others a week ago.
This comes a couple of hours after Iran tried to blow up a super-giant oil field, the Shaybah Oil Field, near the Saudi border with the #UAE. The oilfield was targeted by a drone back in 2019, sent by the Iranian proxy Houthi militia in Yemen. Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman received Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, in Riyadh and posted this brief statement on X: "We discussed Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and the measures needed to halt them within the framework of our Joint Strategic Defense Agreement. We stressed that such actions undermine regional security and stability and expressed hope that the Iranian side will exercise wisdom and avoid miscalculation."
Of course India still interferes in Canadian affairs, and of course Canada should actively seek to deepen ties with India. These two truths are not, or should not be, mutually incompatible.
A survey by the Angus Reid Institute found that a majority of respondents have an unfavourable view of India, while only 30 percent were favourable. https://t.co/m23uK0xuYB
PM Mark Carney calls for integration of Canadian and Indian universities. Canada and India are "one family" of like-minded people.
Before I tell you that a high % of "high-tech" Indians are fake, one can't deny that in a contest between the Canadian ruling class—the womanish "Laurentian elite"—and Asians, the Asians would win hands down.
The Laurentian elites of politicians, media, academics, professionals, and businessmen are incredibly naive, almost idiotic, and thoroughly dominated by female psychology.
In a way, they deserve what's coming: their domination and replacement by more astute, tribalistic, untrustworthy, mendacious Asians.
Yes, most "high-tech" Indian academics are fake: https://t.co/tZPrHZcJ8P
"India is home to a flourishing community of predatory journals: outlets that masquerade as legitimate scientific publications but publish papers with little or no peer review while charging authors hefty fees."
Carney-Anand sudden rush of love for India, especially against CSIS warnings, is unexplainable. It is not only misplaced and ill-timed, it is far removed from wider Canadian public opinion. The liberals have picked a wrong team and have misread the game completely.
Seems like there is enough for NSICOP to do another review about why senior officials from Global Affairs like a David Morrison type continue to promote the Liberal party trade interests over security especially with PRC and India. See next post in reply.
💥REPORT: Peel Police confirm the Indian extortion gangs aren't just targeting the South Asian Community.
But to protect the Indian populations inherently immoral, corrupt third-world behaviours, the media is painting them as victims.
Canada never had these problems till mass immigration started from that region.
Excellent piece by @Alihashem: #Iran Dangerously Misunderstands Its Situation - Tehran thinks it has negotiations with the United States under control. The results could be catastrophic. https://t.co/caqRBBjqGj
Not surprised. Fakery, lies and scam have always been hallmarks of this govt. It has started floating on surface for whole world to see now.
Yesterday a top Indian TV was showing a footage from Yemen passing it off for some Koran’s Hills that India has supposed to have destroyed.
