This is a plan currently being executed.

Meetings in Riyadh. Secret visits to Abu Dhabi. The "Three Islands" declaration from the UN podium. Gunfire on the Baluchistan border. Missiles in Kurdistan. A fuse waiting to be lit inside Iran.

These are not isolated incidents. This is a net that is tightening.

The target of this net is Iran. The executors are Washington, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi. The first victim of this net will not be Tehran.

It will be Dubai.

Why Dubai?

Dubai is not merely a "city." It is the commercial nerve center of the Middle East. It is a transshipment hub for global trade. It is home to millions of expatriates. It is the engine of the UAE economy. It is a safe haven for Western capital in the Middle East.

And it lies just 150 kilometers from the Iranian coast.

Iranian missiles launched from the northern shore of the Strait of Hormuz can reach Dubai in three minutes. Iranian drones taking off from Qeshm Island can reach Abu Dhabi in five minutes. Iranian anti-ship missiles launched from Hormuz cover the entire UAE coastline.

Dubai lacks strategic depth. Dubai has no mountain ranges. Dubai has no corridors for evacuating a population of millions. Dubai consists only of glass towers, artificial islands, and an international airport trapped within the Persian Gulf.

What has already happened?

Between February and September 2026, Iran launched over 2,800 missiles and drones at the UAE more than it launched at Israel. The UAE's air defense systems failed. US Patriot systems failed to intercept them. The "Iron Dome" deployed by Israel failed to provide coverage.

Hotel occupancy rates in Dubai dropped by 30 percentage points. Tourism revenue losses exceeded $5 billion. The UN forecasts that the UAE's GDP could contract by 5%.

This has not yet reached the level of all-out war. This is merely a "warning" from Iran.

If a joint act of aggression were to occur, if UAE territory were used to strike Iran, or if Dubai’s airports were used for the takeoff of fighter jets bound to bomb Iran Dubai would cease to be a "city." It would become a set of coordinates.

What Iran Has Said

Communications from the leadership have made it clear: the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait could be choked off simultaneously. The Red Sea could become a battlefield.

The IRGC has announced: any vessel linked to Israel even in the Indian Ocean will become a target.

Iran’s National Security Council has stated: if a threat becomes imminent, Iran will launch a preemptive strike.

This is not a "threat." It is an operational plan. It represents capabilities already deployed and maps already drawn.

Who Is Pushing Dubai into the Line of Fire?

The United States. The U.S. stations F-35s and drones at the Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE. The U.S. launches bombing raids against Iran from UAE territory. The U.S. has effectively turned the UAE into an aircraft carrier.

Israel. Israel has deployed the "Iron Dome" system in the UAE. The head of Mossad has made multiple visits to Abu Dhabi. Israeli fighter jets take off from UAE runways. Israel has turned the UAE into a forward operating base.

The UAE itself. The UAE raises the issue of the three disputed islands at the UN. The UAE seizes Iranian aircraft. The UAE participates in sanctions against Iran. The UAE permits its territory to be used to target Iran.

Dubai’s rulers believe they are "balancing." They think they can be friends with both Iran and the U.S. simultaneously. They think they can continue to act as the "Switzerland of the Middle East."

They are mistaken. When you lend your airports to fighter jets bombing Iran, you are no longer a "neutral nation." You are a belligerent. And the cities of a belligerent are legitimate targets.

The Truth

Dubai is not merely "watching" a war from the sidelines. Dubai is being dragged into a war it cannot afford. And the ones dragging it in are not Iran; it is the United States, Israel, and the UAE’s own rulers.

Iran’s missiles are not mere "threats"—they have already been launched. Iran’s drones are not mere "intimidation"—they have already struck their targets. Iran’s warnings are not mere "propaganda"—they are already written into operational plans.

If a joint act of aggression occurs, if UAE territory is used to strike Iran, and if Dubai’s airports are used to launch warplanes to bomb Iran—then Dubai’s glass towers will be reduced to rubble, its artificial islands to craters, and its international airport to scorched earth.

And the UAE’s rulers, sitting in their palaces in Abu Dhabi, will find they have nowhere to flee. For Dubai is their palace; Dubai is their wealth; Dubai is their legitimacy; Dubai is their everything.

Iran does not need to destroy the UAE; it only needs to destroy Dubai. And Iran has already proven it is capable of doing so.
