@JulianUnlocked@NASAArtemis Well really they were committed long before this. To do anything significant, especicially close to the earth, requires fuel they just don’t have. They aren’t really flying the craft. Sir Isaac Newton is
@Gasseous_Clay@NDIronsMP This is not correct. Your link to the code didn't work for me. This one does:

Section 17f says "Any money or support provided out of public funds for the Member’s security"
So money provided privately must be registered
@CyberWiz_YT@NASASpaceflight@TheAstroN8 Not concerning per se. Artemis I heatshield had some unexpected cracking issues. They have modified the return profile for Artemis II to hopefully avoid them.
@pokereleran@NASASpaceflight Higher speed and mass so more energy to absorb. Plus they are using a modified return profile to hopefully avoid the issues that Artemis I had with its heatshield
@ELBainter@NASASpaceflight@TylerG1998 I think the point he's making is that there is less flexibility than they would prefer. Artemis I's heatshield showed issues. Artemis III gets a new design. Artemis II is using a modified flight profile to hopefully not encounter Artemis I's probems
@TheFP@rookisaacman He’s not explaining himself well. I don’t know what he is talking about with “swapout” heatsheilds. The issue is the A I heatshield had problems. For A III they have a new design. Rather than delaying A II they are instead changing the reentry profile to hopefully reduce risk
@scoden423@ManaByte@TFMetals To leave earth for the moon it was doing 23-25k or so. It didn’t “break” Earth’s gravity. It’s still in orbit around the Earth at the moment. The Earth has been pulling it back since then so it might get a bit slower still. Eventually it will speed up as it approaches the moon
@Spamsalotnow @tomhfh A 50% crew increase from Apollo would be an extra 1.5 people. Which would be messy. Rounding down to avoid surgery equals one extra crew.
#YouAndYours The council in my area use a grab to pick up then bins and empty them into the lorry. This has split the sides of my bins. Even though I’ve taped them up the council have stopped emptying them and left a note that I must replace them at £30 each!
#newsnight Still don’t understand why something that is already illegal needs to be a specific offence. What advantage does that bring? It sounds performative. *Why* is it “more prosecutable” as a specific offence?
#youandyours what does your evangelist for EVs do when she wants a longer range journey than her car does? Also range is affected by temperature. In winter you’ll get fewer miles. Does her average include that?
So #BBCNews Your correspondent thinks that an increase of the bus fares cap from £2 to £3 represents “a third more”. Just repeating the government spin?
Missed opportunity on #bbcmediashow - video of Manchester Airport fight does not provide “context”. Preceding events have *nothing* to do with kicking immobilised prisoner in the head. Stop calling it “context”
