@MikeWingerii Not even for local Pastors. It’s rare to receive encouragement from any Christian Brother or Sister. If you see a Christian doing something good for the Kingdom, encourage them.
@DrFrankTurek Most pro Santa replies that I’ve read overtly skip the part where you have to lie to your child. Lying is a sin, so how do you square that away? Genuinely curious.
@GalatiansTwo_20@MrJosephtB@CoffinMedia Great points. I wouldn't confidently come down on either position. Instead, I'll do as you pointed out that Paul does and try my hardest to finish the race, keeping the faith.
@IMPERATORAUS Because heretics were twisting Paul’s letters and I’d imagine the early Christians said something like ‘I’ll just stick with what the Apostle Paul wrote us in this letter’.
Sure. Two verses that I would reference where Jesus would never lose a sheep John 6:37-39 and Romans 8:38-39. And a couple of verses that reference once you are saved, you are 'owned' by God so to say - Ephesians 1:13-14 and 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. I think the Ephesians verse is very clear.
But I can see your argument, and if I were making it for you, I would point to Revelation with the church in Laodicea where Jesus will 'spit out' lukewarm believers. That one has always given me trouble.
Not pretending this is cut and dry. I do believe if you have a relationship with God and you feel the Holy Spirit in you, it would be very tough to say 'nah I'm good'. So that's why it's easier to say 'well maybe they never had the Spirit to begin with and were never saved' for those that walked away.
What are your thoughts?
Okay, makes sense! Do you have an issue with what you described as something Protestants do? If so, I would only counter that and say the passage about angels being in charge of separating the weeds from the wheat means that we can’t ever know if a person besides ourselves is saved or not. But I think that is the problematic point is if I were to say, I (me personally) was saved on this date and I know I am going to heaven, is where you would have an issue right? My argument for that would be Jesus saying he never loses a sheep. I know you’ve heard these arguments before so it’s nothing new. On a different note, I do have a Catholic related question for you if you don’t mind that I Dm you about?
@GalatiansTwo_20@MrJosephtB@CoffinMedia Hey Corey, I think we look at examples like when Peter went to the Roman family (Acts 10). I would say they have a saved on date.
@SteveDeaceShow Do you post these theological takes on YouTube, separate from your whole show? Not into politics but would be nice to listen to your opinions on these questions.
Thanks for the detailed response! A few things pop into my head. 1) not sure you can say because group A did not believe in Christ therefore anything they did is untrue. Paraphrasing but I’m not sure that logic holds up?
2) I’d need to know the reasons for why they dumped the 7 books.. I’ve never read them. Do they point to Christ? Do they make a strong argument for the Catholic Church somehow?
I see the point you are making. I certainly do not know enough about the OT and first century Jews to really have a nuanced discussion on this but wanted to help you get the discussion kickstarted nonetheless.
@mayank_jee@natejhake If so we need a new search engine.. Google would feel the effects of all mid sized to small publishers blocking Google. Wouldn’t be a hard sell for publishers if you are getting near zero traffic from them anyway
@BishopJaxi Never said it was a dogma.
Here is your father mike schmitz describing how if you 'donate' to the church, your punishment for sin will be lessened.

@BishopJaxi You are part of a group that sold indulgences.. Gods grace.. then you are told you are not capable of understanding the scriptures that show this practice is clearly wrong. How convenient is that for your group leaders?
@BishopJaxi Then I compare it with other people given the ability to think for themselves. You have chosen to join a group that doesn’t allow free thinking. That should be highly concerning for yourself.
@BishopJaxi What is your cult leaders interpretation of that then? You think that’s a burn but just emphasizes how you are unable to think on your own.
