@GBNEWS Which means the glaciers weren't that old. Several examples of this in the Northern hemisphere where receding glaciers uncover things which effectively also date the glacier, showing it has been warmer in the not so distant past (geologically speaking at least).
My latest article is on why Wouter Basson remains the obsession of so many
It's darkly amusing to observe that, in an ironic way, Basson is helping keep the Rainbow Nation dream alive

Indeed, they make real stuff which if you want to take them on in a war matters most. They also get much greater bang for the buck on military procurement, and are geared for fighting on their doorstep, not for distant showy/imperial power projection. Not to mention having virtually all the raw materials and food production they might need.
@maxotte_says It might soon become much easier to visit the Ukraine government because it might have had to move to Lvov. This picture does have shades of Monty Python...
@SprinterPress They must have rocks in their heads. They will presumably be surprised when Russia shoots down their planes and rains missiles on key parts of Sweden?
A sign of desperation, to forestall the moment when the pretence that Russia is losing/Ukraine winning (or even "its a stalemate") becomes impossible to maintain. The US is running the war with Ukrainian meat. They can stop the war very quickly if they wanted. Paradoxically to the astute military observers (retired NATO veterans) it is demonstrating the superiority of Russian integrated air defences.
“What is the purpose of our defence policy?”
“To defend Britain!”
“No Bernard. It’s to make people believe Britain is defended”
“The Russians?”
“No, the British. The Russians know it’s not defended”
@peterrhague If they thought they had a problem competing with Falcon 9, Starship is going be a much bigger headache. Falcon 9 winding down is because SpaceX is now confident enough in Starship.
@CantillonCH My gut is these US vassals have both fragile economies and grip on power. This could get very interesting far faster than many of us expected. With NATO essentially out of ammo in key areas no help is coming.
We all noticed the City of Cape Town is desperate for more ways to squeeze money out of its middle class.
The question is why. This is an election year — the worst possible time to come up with highly unpopular money grabs.
To answer that, Rob Duigan, Dr Adi Schlebusch and I combined our efforts to find out what is going on.
What we uncovered shocked even us.

@afneil She has destroyed The Economist. I stopped subscribing after more than 20 years a few years ago. Just another controlled part of the MSM echo chamber (apart from any internal one).
I have had the feeling for a while now that there is most likely a strategy of keeping Israel out of it by Iran especially until the US has been fully expelled (or critically weakened regionally) after which Israel is then targeted, with the US then having only marginal ability to help directly. Tough to sustain attacking Iran from NATO bases in Europe.
