@gearbox_reviews yeah good point, remote software updates are easier than a full dashboard redesign. I'm curious about the longevity of all of the tech/screens in these vehicles, only time will tell. and I'm with ya on the physical buttons
Most people I talk to, including non-car people, don't like tons of screens and tech in their cars. This sentiment has been around since before covid. Is there a hidden incentive manufacturers see that causes them to keep producing cars with tons of tech and screens? Is their product cycle just so long that it takes them 5+ years to adjust? Or am I just out of touch with the market lol
My loaner while my car is in the shop is a 20 year old A4 and it's refreshing. No giant touch screen, no glossy black plastics, no beeps and boops. How do I get on a press rotation just for cars that are 15+ years old?
