In 2014, the major news networks refused to air Obama’s immigration speech because it was "overtly political." So what exactly was last night's @realDonaldTrump speech?
I wrote to the four major network heads to ask what the rationale was for airing Trump's lies.
McConnell just said it’s not worth voting on anything because Senate Republicans won’t vote for a bill the President doesn’t support, as if the veto override somehow got stripped out of the Constitution.
For two years, the GOP controlled the White House and both houses of Congress.
If The Wall had been an actual priority of Trump's, it would have easily passed.
It wasn't an actual priority. Until Rush Limbaugh hurt his feelings.
Shutdown is all kinds of bullshit.
BREAKING: The Senate voted against bringing to the floor a bill that would encourage states to suppress the right to boycott.
This is what happens when we collectively exercise our First Amendment right to protest — and why it's so important to defend that right.
Trump just said of government shutdown over border wall, now in third week: “This is not a fight I wanted. I didn’t want this fight.”
Back in December, Trump said on camera, "I am proud to shut down the government for border security."
When I reviewed the FBI #Kavanaugh report, I saw a stack of leads from the tip line - a foot & a half tall. There undoubtedly were tips worth pursuing. But we’ll never know. Trump & the Senate Republicans wouldn’t allow the FBI to follow up.
This is nothing short of a cover-up.
One copy of the FBI report. No more than an hour to review it. No ability for any follow up. Then a rushed vote.
For 2 years, McConnell has been carefully and purposefully breaking the Senate. This is the final blow. No comity or tradition left. It’s just about power politics.
It is simply impossible, after seeing the results of the FBI’s supplemental work – I hesitate to call it an investigation – that anybody could think it was in any way, shape or form, the “comprehensive” work the President promised. This so-called investigation is a sham.
Nearly 3000 people have died in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria – largest natural disaster death toll in US in a century. The loss of so many lives is heartbreaking & reprehensible. We must do all we can to help our fellow citizens recover & rebuild. https://t.co/ROl2pjbynZ
Trump asked evangelical ministers to help Republicans from the pulpit by pushing their flock to vote Republican. If they do so, they jeopardize their church’s non-profit status according to current IRS guidance. https://t.co/JQNtOCbew3
