I have used https://t.co/v0jcmiJZvs to remove my twitter history older than one week, and am abandoning* my account, at least for now. I don't use them much, but I am on Mastodon at https://t.co/nKDJtIAMlv and https://t.co/N84DXHEREv if you want to follow me there.
@harpmolly I made two tear-off pads of $2 bills using uncirculated sequential-serial bills from the bank and sent my nephew $200 in notepad form for his latest birthday. I'm low-key hoping someone tries to get him in trouble for counterfeiting.
@_score@SPLBuzz Ah, right. I'd forgotten about glue records because the registrars I'm using these days don't offer them, or they're not in the default interface. But, yes, I definitely did that in the 90s, so I should have remembered about it.
@_score@SPLBuzz Which is to say, I'm not blaming their sysadmins for this. I've been there, and it is _hard_ to function properly when you're actively under attack. (I don't know that this is the case, but boy does it feel familiar.)
@_score@SPLBuzz This really feels to me like they brought new servers up without a full understanding of how the attackers who took them down earlier did it, and now the new servers are down too. They have glue records in place, but those systems aren't responding again (they were earlier).
@SPLBuzz It's a real shame that the communications departments of institutions hit by ransomware don't let anyone admit that it's ransomware until well after it's obvious that that's what it is. One of the most frustrating things about our attack was not being able to talk about it.
@SPLBuzz Well, _a_ reason, anyway. It sounds like there are other things on fire as well. But even if you get those fixed, I don't think your web site is coming back until you get your nameservers switched to somewhere external so that the root servers can pick them up.
@SPLBuzz FYI, it looks like your name servers are hosted within the domain they serve, which is a chicken and egg problem, and the reason https://t.co/yL82ySH1NT is unavailable now. I don't know if cramden and norton here still exist, but they're not responding either.
@TracyExplains "[W]e confirm and reinforce the interest of caring for long COVID patients without post-exertional symptom exacerbation[...]"
The people shouting at you earlier are the ones _with post-exertional symptom exacerbation_, who are made worse by recommendations like yours.
@Artantiq Davidson is/was a gallery with something for any budget, from $20 to $20k. It would be my first stop if I had $200 and I wanted something nice, whether antique or contemporary, for the wall. I really hope it survives this.
@Artantiq I hate that this happened, and also that the news is going with Picasso and Rembrandt when there are so many amazing living artists this might have affected, like Artemio Rodriguez and Julie Paschkis.
@Roosiehood Yeah, it definitely felt localized and directional. The couch I was on took a thump, the cat tower next to it wobbled once, and I didn't notice anything else move.
@DigLibCopyright Do you know if a waiver of rights using CC0 could be terminated by an author's heirs under Title 17, section 203? I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that "[t]o the greatest extent permitted by, but not in contravention of, applicable law" leaves wiggle room for contesting CC0.
@t3dy@mzxio I can absolutely recommend the PC version so you can play with Sim Settlements 2, which makes FO4 a whole new game. Maybe it works on PS4, but it bogged my poor 1st-gen Xbox One down pretty badly.
@elly_bangs @LaserMistress I think it's largely forgotten now (and, you know, it was a lot shorter), but there were multiple walkouts protesting the Gulf War and literature circulating about conscientious objection during my high school tenure, too.
