Rebrand complete! New handle @RJTesla β still the same RJ (formerly @TechLapVolt) - Nova Scotia Tesla owner sharing real-world FSD drives, EV insights, F1, tech & sports.
All old posts are still here π
Even if you had pedal misidentification, car does not go to 70 miles an hour in few seconds, this seems fishy, like as an average drive if you realize you hit the wrong pedal, your initial reaction would be to take the foot off and press the break pedal, the video show no sign of slowing down. It felt intentional.
Agree with Human hazard identification is far less than FSD identifying it, giving AI the sole power on passenger car is stil quite a few years away unfortunately.
Government as we know will come late to the party and realize than FSD is far safer than human driver in few years down the road.
@Jaimehwev@wholemars Per mile would largely affect users who has longer commute and wants FSD to ease the pressure of the drive, a person could drive 1000 mile a day and that would cost 100$ a day, or if you drive 200 miles a day that would be 20$, that would cause user to stay away from using FSD.
@SawyerMerritt Kind of predictable that media lied or had prejudiction, what else can you expect from the legacy media ? Their reporting is 90% guesses work and 10% actual proven, and thatβs being generous.
I think acceleration override from software side is double edged sword, on one side it prevent the Pedal Misidentification and on the other hand If a driver sees a threat or collision before FSD e.g. tree limb or power pole coming down from above and wants to intervene and speed rapidly away from the accidents, would limit the driver safety in that instance.
Thatβs cleared up now,
Tesla driver who claimed that Autopilot caused a collision had his accelerator pedal pressed all the way to 100% causing car to reach the speed of 73 mph in residential streets and had the accelerator pedal pressed even after the collision.
@elonmusk@kylaschwaberow Yup. In this case, the driver manually overrode self-driving by pressing the accelerator all the way to 100% of the accel pedal in this residential area. They reached a speed of 73 mph during the crash, and had the accelerator pressed even after the crash.
@wholemars Beta 2 feels more Bouncy.
Siriβs expressive voice now have 2 voices to choose from, although the sliders for expression is not yet functional.
Screenshot crop seems to have been fixed as well.
π Tesla Robotaxi 1-Year Anniversary!
One year ago today (June 22, 2025), the first paid autonomous rides launched in Austin.
Key milestones:β¨β Started with ~10-20 supervised Model Ysβ¨β Now unsupervised in Austin (full metro), Dallas & Houstonβ¨β ~750k+ miles driven with only ~17 minor incidents (not at fault - 0 injuries)β¨β Cybercab production started at Giga Texas
A safe, foundational year of real-world scaling. The future is driverless!
Whatβs your favorite Robotaxi moment?

@wholemars Living in a rural wooded area and having to drive on dirt roads often, we frequently use Bioweapon Defence mode to filter the dirt and pollen especially in Spring when Pollens are literally everywhere, huge help with the dirt and pollen allergy.
@BLKMDL3@DavidMoss I swear FSD thrives in challenges, like real Time Machine learning from the challenges it faces and remembers it next time, and shows off like see what I can do LOL.
FSD v14.3.4 has officially made it from Canada to Mexico with zero human driving!
@DavidMoss and I just crossed the border into Tijuana, Mexico.
His FSD streak is now at 10,829 miles (17,427 kilometers) without disengagement. @Tesla_AI
