@AdvisorJohn@zerohedge While I agree Maryland hasn't become the most business friendly, Guinness had its own problems. For one, people drink less and stouts are not that popular. Heavy Seas Brewery (IPAs) down the street is doing much better. Second, the went too big early.
@TraceyRyniec This is the next version of the opioid endemic. Going to hit young males much harder and put them back from developing into productive members of society and family formation.
I entered one and exited pretty quickly. You learn how the franchise industry works and itβs pretty disgusting. Everyone in the vertical makes money except the franchise owner. Iβd say if youβre ever pitched a brand, avoid it. A good franchise usually will have a higher barrier to entry.
@StumpGuyTy@rossiadam Fascinating. Franchise brands dictate a lot of variable outcomes. Knew some killer biz owners who could crush in any biz but were trapped inside a franchise system that generally didnβt work.
