At its regular meeting held last July, the La Plata City Council unanimously passed a motion to designate BTS as "Honorary Guests" (Huésped de Honor). Under the ordinances of La Plata, "Honorary Guests" is the highest level of official courtesy awarded to distinguished guests visiting the city or global figures in the arts and culture world. The City Council cited the seven members' cultural influence, the promotion of youth rights, and their participation in international cultural activities as the reasons for their selection.

Chile introduced BTS's Santiago concert as a major event in the 'Festivals and Events - Culture & Heritage' category through its official tourism promotion site, Chile Travel. Chile Travel highlighted, "A global K-pop craze is landing in Chile. With the return of BTS, Santiago will transform into a global hub for K-pop."
