🖋Every artist creates their art with the intention of having people see it, watch it, or LISTEN TO IT. Yoongi and RM came from the underground rap scene, but like everyone else, they wanted their music to reach as many people as possible. They also wanted the chance to make money and give themselves and their families a comfortable life—like ANYONE who didn't come FROM privilege and has both feet on the ground.
🌟What separates them from rappers like this guy is COURAGE. They had the courage to swallow their pride and take a chance on making their rap and music in a different setup and environment. And it worked.🌟

Ever since then, part of Korea's underground rap scene has had beef and resentment toward them, as if BTS were somehow responsible for the fact that they chose to stay there out of pride and couldn't build the same success for themselves. 🌟BTS made HYBE possible, not the other way around. It's not HYBE getting them feat. Is them giving HYBE a name/reputation to go after that.

The result of their courage? SUGA sold out an entire hip-hop tour with D-DAY. RM released one of the most acclaimed rap albums in recent years. J-Hope continues to find success while reaching an even broader general audience.

🗣BTS is the result of underground rappers having the COURAGE to swallow their pride for a chance to make a living from music and succeed.🗣
No amount of petty resentment is going to change that.

ADOR alleged that former ADOR CEO (now OK Records CEO) Min Hee Jin committed unlawful acts by collecting grounds to terminate NewJeans’ exclusive contracts and encouraging the group to break those contracts while she was still serving as an internal director at ADOR.

During the third hearing of ADOR’s damages lawsuit against Danielle, her family, and former CEO Min Hee Jin, held on July 2 at the Seoul Central District Court (Civil Agreement Division 31, Presiding Judge Nam In-soo), ADOR cited audio recordings and argued:

“While persuading (NewJeans) to go ahead with the livestream, she said, ‘We need to create a termination lawsuit.’ She also intended to appear in the livestream herself, but argued that she had to be completely separated from the members because of the issue of tampering.”

ADOR further stated:

“It appears that Min Hee Jin herself was aware of the legal risks associated with tampering.”

Previously, ADOR filed a damages lawsuit seeking approximately KRW 33.09 billion against Danielle, her family, and former CEO Min Hee Jin, alleging breach of the exclusive contract and other violations.

During the hearing, ADOR also cited SNS conversations from October 2024, before NewJeans sent ADOR a formal notice demanding corrective action regarding the termination of their exclusive contracts. ADOR claimed that Min Hee Jin told the members’ parents:

“Even in the worst-case scenario, there is no chance the parents will suffer financial losses. I’ll structure it that way.”

“If we leave HYBE, I’ll prepare compensation that will at least cover the litigation costs. I’ll pay the lawsuit expenses.”

ADOR argued:

“These conversations show that she encouraged NewJeans’ parents not to hesitate to pursue litigation, while promising direct financial compensation to cover legal costs if the exclusive contracts were terminated, thereby inducing them to break the contracts.”

ADOR also alleged that after resigning as an internal director, Min Hee Jin continued to be directly involved in the members’ legal proceedings in order to maintain the contract termination.

As an example, ADOR claimed:

“Min Hee Jin personally sent the materials for the oral hearing in the injunction case regarding the termination of the exclusive contracts to the attorney representing the NewJeans members, while requesting revisions line by line.”

In addition, based on SNS conversations between Min Hee Jin and the members’ parents in March 2025, ADOR alleged that she said:

“Ask ADOR for things they can’t possibly agree to, and record the conversation.”

“The point is to get them to reject the requests anyway. We don’t actually want to negotiate, do we? That’s how we build a justification for not returning.”

ADOR concluded:

“Even after the injunction was denied, encouraging the members to make demands that ADOR could not accept and to obtain recordings was intended to artificially create new grounds for terminating the exclusive contracts.”
