Odisha has launched Samarpan - the official “digital hundi” platform(app & website) for Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri.
I just downloaded it from the iOS App Store. It’s also available on the Google Play Store.
A welcome step towards making donations more accessible for devotees worldwide.
Devotees can log in using their mobile number and OTP, donate via UPI, net banking, cards or WhatsApp, and instantly download a digital receipt.

Darjeeling Municipality is now actively fining tourists who are littering in public places, and not dumping in designated dustbins.
This is an excellent initiative.
We request all locals - especially drivers, hotel and restaurant and other businesses to actively co-operate, and inform all tourists that there is a fine for littering in public.
We thank and applaud all those who are involved in enforcing this noble initiative.

@ReddyMurali6677@ICCCBengaluru@osd_cmkarnataka Sir, authorities are indeed negligent, but what about general public with negative civic sense... Same can be said about ECity where the supposedly educated people dump garbage on the roads..
@lakshaymehta08 Please escalate to the SP and DIG of the area... This is not acceptable for any reason, especially when kids are already scared and crying...
@sudarsansand@SJTA_Puri If ISKCON cannot follow SJTA for the ritual schedule, then it has no place in Odisha or India. While puja rituals at ISKCON should not be avoided, but their businesses can be boycotted across India. And it is the regular Hindu who has to do it, not any Govt agency.
