@JodyBugsMeUNL@EntsocAmerica@WomeninEnto Low wages. If you are married and need to make moving decisions based on job opportunities, often men are paid more, so women leave their careers, or start over, to follow men.

Happy Monday! Today seems like a good day to be thankful for our entomologists in the U.S. government and the work they do every day. Let's look at a few examples, shall we?
@Phytoseiid How do you create accountability for making continual progress in writing projects so that deadlines do not creep up and become stress-inducing!
@Phytoseiid Similar to others...how do you prioritize and carve out time to write? Perhaps part of the workshop encourages people to bring a project they are having trouble getting started and people write an outline or the first paragraph. Often just getting started is the hardest part.
@MayBerenbaum That is one of my favorite museum activities! Find the insects! I recently found gorgeous butterflies on "The Olympic Service" in the Moscow Kremlin Armory: https://t.co/ppQ4MT9zc6
Entomologists Say Harassment and Bullying in Science are “#NeverOK,” by @profspaff and @Polly_Nator: "We envision entomologists as agents of change, promoting healthy workspaces where all are treated with respect." https://t.co/yq5sP1FVMb
