Proud to contribute to interview & interrogation training in Ghana and support anti-human trafficking discussions. Learned a lot from dedicated officers. Hope it supports their operations 👮🚨🚔
Through Project AGWE, INTERPOL led a mentorship session in The Gambia 🇬🇲, aimed at strengthening both long-term national capacity and day-to-day operational skills to combat human trafficking.
The session, which included law enforcement, judicial and maritime authorities, covered:
🔵 improving interagency coordination
🔵 enhancing investigative capabilities
🔵 the effective use of INTERPOL’s databases and Notices
Glad to have supported this operation during my first mission with INTERPOL, working with law enforcement in The Gambia to strengthen efforts against terrorism and transnational crime across West Africa.
🔵 West Africa border security operation targets Foreign Terrorist Fighters
An INTERPOL-coordinated border security operation in West Africa has led to 62 arrests and the seizure of large amounts of ammunition and explosives, firearms, drugs, counterfeit medicines, and stolen vehicles.
Operation Screen West Africa 2025 (July – October) brought together law enforcement agencies from 12 West African countries to strengthen border security, track persons with links to terrorism and disrupt transnational organized crime networks. Frontline officers at land, air and sea borders used INTERPOL Mobile Devices and other systems to access the Organization’s extensive global databases.
In all, Operation Screen West Africa 2025 led to nine arrests of individuals suspected of connections with terrorism. It also generated almost 250 “hits” against INTERPOL databases, including seven linked to Red Notices and nine linked to Blue Notices citing terrorist activities.

Escutei uma frase agora que faz todo o sentido: "Ditadores sempre terão dinheiro para comprar Rolex.'"
Heard something that really hit: "Dictators will always have money for a Rolex.'"
