@helloIamBesty "Eyes on the ball, eyes on the goalkeeper, eyes on the ball". Elite footballer finishes a penalty. Amazing analysis. It's all about promoting stars. It was the only moment of his performance worth mentioning.
Despite the very best efforts of the appalling Kavanagh and his assistants, Newcastle have equalised.
The three of them will be gutted.
This is incompetence at a dangerous level.
@Neilfarrington What is needed are referees that referee as if there is no VAR. Too often it seems they are hesitant to make decisions and rely on VAR to bail them out, only to have VAR also not make the correct decision so they don't undermine the ref on the field.
@rossgregory9 I think most #NUFC fans would agree neither is the long-term solution. Both have glaring weaknesses in their game. If I had to pick one for a big game, it would be Pope but it's not by much.
@ScottyTalksToon@Im_RobM It's much simpler to place blame on one thing or one person. The truth is almost always more complicated and layered. Of course he can do better. He's made mistakes. He'll make more. I still believe right now, he's the best person for the job.
@ToonUnderPod On this pod you hit on the key word with Howe and his player selection. I've been saying it's all about TRUST with him. Maybe it's semantics but it's not favorites, it's the trust factor. He sticks with players too long at times but mostly gets it right.
@Jays_Classic Thought there was progress demonstrated today. Rotation starting to take shape. Four players 30+ minutes. Big 3 look to be Dix, Harper, & Green. Good to see Graves have some positive moments that should help his confidence.
@jones202920 I would. A break might help him get back to his best. I'm not sure Ramsdale is a long term upgrade but Pope needs to be dropped and hope he regains his form and confidence.
