A reminder on why we must gain equal representation in the NHS. How white-washing and institutional racism impact race disparities in British healthcare - #BLM#NHS https://t.co/55nohW94QS
Everyone out on our road to #ClapForTheNHS , could hear people across the village whooping, cheering and setting off fireworks, proud to tears of my sister and all other NHS workers, thank you xxx
URGENT PLS RT, hospo lot!
IF YOUR FOOD BUSINESS IS SADLY CLOSING, PLEASE DONT BIN ANY FOOD JUST YET!
I’m working as fast AIC to find partners to take food from restaurants that are having to close- we could do a brilliant thing here for ITU/ED workers & vulnerable self isolating
@jimmybuk You legend. I can imagine going back after making the decision to leave and the PTSD won’t be easy. Keep focused on those things that you know help your personal resilience - ask for help from others, you have the nation behind you. Thank you
Are you a commercial venue that has been forced to close?
Do you have a stock of toilet paper that's going unused?
Find a school that's open near you.
The only kids there will be children of key workers or in vulnerable categories.
Take it round so they can take it home.
Credit to the Treasury officials who I know will have worked through sleepless nights, and with great imagination, to devise original policies to help the country in its hour of need - a reminder that our civil servants, often denigrated, are essential workers too in this crisis
Tell us about a young child but say “my co-worker” or “my friend’s co-worker” instead of their name. (Because, you know, this is reality now for some of us.)
Ex: My co-worker asked for yogurt and is now crying because I gave her yogurt.
@gillhillan @lisabricknell @suzetownley 🤣🤣love both of these... though I recognise my merriment is your everyday which is likely to require bottomless patience!!
Thank you @emmalouiselayla for sharing these beautiful words for these times - attributed to Kitty O’Meara. What if we could use this time of sickness to reflect on who we are on this planet, what’s important and how we create a more sustainable, meaningful future?
NHS cleaning staff rarely receive any praise
But they do an incredibly important job and will help save many lives over the coming weeks, so please spare a RT for all of them
One of the things on my mind about being pregnant was how I would cope physically with Charcot Marie Tooth. It impacts balance & strength - seemed fairly integral to carrying around a small person inside... There have been falls and wobbles but am proud to be at the gym at 39wks!
