lol @aswb comparing the exam to a blood pressure cuff. We get it. You make money from this, but a BP cuff doesn't suffer from the same issues of reliability/validity that the exam does. The only spin doctors I want to hear from right now are the ones who sing Two Princes.

@WillBeischel I prep the syllabus, all general assignment requirements/due dates, the course calendar and the LMS shell. Usually I'm prepping class weekly. I also work at a regional comprehensive so I'm expected to spend more time on teaching than scholarship.

Why am I anti-capitalism?

The system relies on economic stratification to maximize profits and minimize costs.

Many of the problems addressed by my profession have a root cause of poverty.

We can't solve poverty in capitalism.

I'm sure the accreditation of DSW programs will go a long way to addressing the barriers to entry that exist in the profession and not exacerbate the already existing inequities of representation...

Took a bit of a twitter hiatus but I'm coming back and I'm starting with a career announcement: making moves and joining the social work faculty at the University of Nothern Iowa in the fall!
