Among patients with persistent #AtrialFibrillation and significant low-voltage zones identified by electroanatomical mapping, adjunctive low-voltage zone ablation added to pulmonary vein isolation improved arrhythmia-free survival at 12 months vs pulmonary vein isolation alone.

Benefit was observed after 1 or 2 ablation procedures and without antiarrhythmic drugs, supporting a substrate-guided ablation strategy in this population.
