@JGatianWVU@KHolds35 The candidate list not being the best of the best was my point. If Rod is the best option we’re way worse off than I could have imagined.
Rodriguez being hired back at WVU is embarrassing. A disgrace. People talking about what a great job this is and a retread hire of someone no one else will touch is the best we can come up with? Huge indictment of where we are as a program.
I have the perfect coach for WVU. He’s only played the 128th toughest schedule the last two years but he’s 18-8!! Not all upside though, he is 0-4 against Top 75 opponents, losing by an average score of 18-37. Would be a great get though.
@BillyBo01168681 @QuinlanCA @wrenbaker Could the donors not put that money into the program reguardless? I’m confused. Also, your premise is just flat out false. We’ll never have enough money to be on an even footing with these other programs. The coach matters most.
I can’t believe a guy that no other Power 4 university would touch is gonna be our pick. If this is true, I can’t believe how little I’m going to care about Mountaineer football the next few years.
@QuinlanCA And for what? We all want to win, but if you make this move it better be a grand slam. If you don’t win right away all these casuals dictating this will all move on to their next thing. All the folks who are the backbone of support will be gone.
@QuinlanCA It’s hard. Over 30 years I’ve spent every home Saturday supporting WVU at the stadium with friends I consider family. I know some of them probably won’t be back if it’s Rod. It just bums me out.
@GooseGyorko I just don’t think Rod is our best option. Guy has sucked his other two Power 4 spots. Fact he’s beating up on teams in the worst conference in the country doesn’t impress me. There are better guys out there.
@soonergridiron What hit after the play? Clean hit by 12. #8 for OU comes running in throwing hands and gets stood over after he’s tossed down. Then all the pushing and shoving. They reviewed it and no penalty cause that is football.
@soonergridiron If only that’s what happened. Watch it. He hits the guy cleanly and walks off. When they cut back to us standing over a guy, it’s the punk who came in shoving people for a clean football hit. We didn’t make many hits so I understand how it confused ya’ll.

Significant Big 12 News.
Athens is cooler, closer, and we got Ohio to agree to a 2-for-1 trip. The same deal offered to Marshall which they refused because they are too good for that. No one cares about playing Marshall or Ohio so ya gotta make the $$ work.
