Les fournisseurs Cloud et les éditeurs SaaS B2B dorment actuellement sur leurs deux oreilles en pensant que la complexité technique de leurs produits les protège.
Ils ont bâti des empires sur une seule illusion : l'idée que changer d'outil est une opération trop douloureuse pour que leurs clients décident de partir.

Avant, choisir entre AWS, Azure ou Stripe prenait six mois, des réunions de direction interminables, et la relation se sécurisait avec des dîners d'affaires ou des places VIP au stade.

Aujourd'hui, un agent autonome va remplacer l'intégralité de votre stack logicielle par un concurrent à 2h du matin un mardi, sans demander d'approbation, juste parce qu'il a trouvé moins cher.

L'IA est impitoyable : elle se fiche de vos 11 ans de "partenariat de confiance", on ne peut pas l'inviter au restaurant ni l'influencer avec des cadeaux de fin d'année.

Comme le souligne Chamath Palihapitiya, le débat technique est clos et ces choix d'infrastructures ne sont plus que de simples appels API gérés en pilotage automatique.

Pour survivre, vous devez abandonner l'idée de retenir vos clients grâce à la friction logicielle et vous concentrer exclusivement sur la valeur brute de votre offre.

Votre produit ne sera plus choisi une fois pour toutes par un humain en 2019, il devra prouver qu'il est le plus performant à chaque microseconde sous l'œil clinique d'un algorithme.

Ladies and gentlemen. There is nothing wrong with OO. It is a necessary, but insufficient, component of a complete software architecture.

Don't get all hung up about mutable variables inside data structures. That's not what OO is about. We had that long before the word "object" was a gleam in Kay's mind.

OO is about message passing, where the sender has no intimate knowledge of the receiver; and the receiver has no knowledge at all about the sender. Control flows from sender to receiver, but source code dependencies point the opposite direction. This allows the relationships between modules to be controlled by the designers and architects, and not dictated by the flow of control.

Other necessary parts of software architecture are Structured Programming (the proper use of sequence, selection, and iteration), and Functional Programming (the proper isolation and management of mutation.)
