Spot on @RahmEmanuel! I am surprised that other politicians haven't drawn attention to the energy capacity destructive decisions of the current administration. Less capacity = increased inflation.
From @WSJopinion: The Democrats’ agenda shouldn’t be advertised as a campaign to save stranded polar bears or curb carbon emissions. In 2026, it’s affordability, stupid: Electricity supply up, electricity bills down, writes @RahmEmanuel. https://t.co/E9ir7oPwMm
@seandsweeney@StephenM Amazing content at such a DANGEROUS place!! Real waterfalls, not cash flow waterfalls (which if not careful are much more dangerous)!
@tyleralley Although we have benefited from the Fed Chair messaging being in synch with the majority of voting members, the majority votes of the other 11 FOMC members are still required. It will take some time for the market to adjust if the Chair is speaking in conflict with votes.
@seandsweeney Design is a differentiator! Walkable communities with a efficient/usable layouts and a pride in your living space makes it easy for tenants to call it home for multiple renewals!
After 3.5 years and TEN public meetings, this is an outrageously cowardly decision from @AldermanHopkins. As a constituent, I am livid. Denying this project is fiscally irresponsible for the entire city, and it will only exacerbate our housing crisis.
Just so everyone is clear.. the Walgreens on the right in this picture is where the new high rise would go basically. This is looking north.
Ruin the character of the neighborhood my ass.
Alderman Hopkins needs to be voted out. We must expand our tax base and population.
@seandsweeney I would appreciate any insights you have on the lease-up sequence of new apt developments. How early do you start prior to delivery? Timing of website? Any SEO insights? Does size of project change your strategy?
When I was younger, I was praised a lot for my intelligence. I was always in the ‘nerd classes’. Got a perfect score on 2/3 sections of the SAT. Stellar grades without really trying. Ner ner
Everyone in my life made me feel like that was very important.
It’s where I got a lot of my self worth from & I felt like I needed to show other people how smart I was for them to like me too.
As I got older, I realized nobody actually gives a shit about how smart you are. If anything, it’s offputting to a lot of people.
With few exceptions, you’ll be more successful just getting along with folks & helping them be more successful. Not by trying to show how much you know or how valuable you are.
Let them be right. Let them come up with the idea. Let them take the credit. Keep your cards hidden.
Knowing when to play dumb is far more valuable than being able to sound smart.
