The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world.
And they are not handling it well.
In the best possible way.
Here is what they are discovering:
Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time.
Free water at every restaurant. Just appears.
Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited.
Free chips and salsa before you even order.
Free warm bread with dinner.
Ice in drinks like civilized people.
Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact.
Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going.
Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it.
Ranch dressing by the gallon.
Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced.
Dental care that actually works.
Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s.
Then they found the grocery stores.
Five of them within one mile.
Each one the size of an aircraft hangar.
Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday.
The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes.
In silence.
Processing.
They finally understand why we do not have trains.
We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive.
Parking lots the size of small European countries.
Airports in every city worth visiting.
Why would we need trains.
The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle.
The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak.
The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre.
The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas.
Welcome to America!
The greatest country on earth.
Malissa and I attended @nsckennesaw and were once again blessed by a powerful, timely message from Pastor @mikelinch It was one of those sermons that really makes you pause, reflect, and walk away encouraged to live with more purpose.
@MrAzSports@PhilMickelson@JonRahmOfficial Need to rebuild Karsten and call it MickRahm. Phil gets the front 9 and calls it "The Mick" and Jon gets the back 9 and it's called "The Rahm". $20MM well spent!
A true warrior. Colt fought every battle on and off the field with unmatched courage. Your legacy, strength, and spirit will live on forever. 🕊️🏈 #RIP#Brotherhood
HEARTWARMING: Five #NFL moments where it just meant more than the actual game that was going on.
1) The Sean Taylor tribute
2) The 1st game after 9/11
3.) Torrey Smith TD after his brother’s death
4) Kobe Pro Bowl tribute
5.) Eric Berry beats cancer
♥️
I think this is the @POTUS entire play. The fed can’t/won’t bring down interest rates as long as inflation stays sticky and unemployment doesn’t spike which doesn’t look like it currently is. The only way to get interest rates down is to crash the economy in the short term. 100 bps reduction on $7 to 10 T of debt That has to be refinanced in 2025 will be a massive interest savings for the government.
Agreed. The value was always the degree. Guessing only 25-30% of the students of any FBS program are getting any NIL money. And outside of football most sports don’t give 100% scholarships so transferring and delaying getting the degree just ends up costing more money. NIL may be great for the elite athletes but not for all others who transfer.
@J2THEZ29@FrancisSuarez@POTUS Didn’t know that. That’s unfortunate. Maybe the county should start buying Bitcoin. Probably one of the worst large city airports in the country. Love Miami and they have done a nice job in other area’s but hate flying in.
