- Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE): $250,000 for programs prioritizing undocumented immigrants
- Altadena Talks Foundation: $100,000 went to supported podcasts, including Toni Raines podcast
- NAACP Pasadena: $100,000 political advocacy
- Los Angeles Black Worker Center $550,000 to political advocacy organizations
- Center for Applied Ecological Remediation: $500,000 for fungus/microbe/plant soil remediation projects

Over $500,000 went to bonuses for nonprofit leaders and consultants

New documents show the Chicago Teachers Union has a “recording studio” 1,000 miles away in New Mexico

“Can anybody tell me why the Chicago Teachers Union needs a recording studio in New Mexico? In new documents, they spent $173,000 at 265 Sunset Road in Albuquerque.

Their accounting describes it as a recording studio, Zillow shows it also has a pool.

CTU described the payment as part of representational activities which legally must be associated with the negotiation administration and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements. With an audit, CTU might be able to explain how a recording studio a thousand miles away helps them with that, but they haven't released one of those in 5 years.“

I looked more into this, even Illinois authorities found this suspicious

The Illinois Policy Institute highlighted this as questionable spending, noting the lack of any detailed explanation in the federal filing and the pool’s visibility on real estate sites

CTU has not released its required annual audits to members since 2019 despite bylaws mandating it

In the same period, CTU ramped up political spending significantly, with leadership compensation

Sounds like people are being paid off
